  1. Let the bastard die... The sentence for a true honest to god rape, should be death anyway. The beginning of April, I went three days with an irregular heart beat, and didn't get treatment b/c I got laid off and my insurance was dropped. This bastard rapes a child, and gets a free heart. Burn in hell.

  2. In all honesty, man, you are getting way, WAAAY ahead of yourself. And this is coming from the guy who's usually known for getting ahead of himself around here. Take a deep breath and chill. You need to get your paramedic first, then get your Bachelor's in a relevant field (the sciences, management, etc.), and maybe even your RN as well if you want to expand your knowledge of medicine. From there, you can start having a look around and seeing what your options are--and by then, you should have the resume and the experience to reasonably expect to do anything more than ride on an ambulance.

  3. I don't work with any black or white women. I don't work with any white or black men either. I tend to find it better to work alone, one man payroll. How about you tell us about yourself? What are you looking for in life? Don't throw any unrealistic expectations, or what you feel is rightfully owed to you by x race, because of history. This isn't an episode of South Park, don't try to make an example out of every word uttered by the people who are trying to understand what you are saying. Perhaps Admin should create a board under "in the field", about "Demographic Issues in EMS". You could write a short story about your plight, and we could go from there?

  4. It is not classified as such only because we live in a politically correct time, in all other periods of time it has been recognized as a treatable mental illness.

  6. I know it sounds crazy but the OR does have an influence on the whole hospital. The OR is the cash cow for the hospital, no matter where it is. Although the ER often gets overwhelmed by the volume of patients who present to the ER, the other end of the problem is when the ER can not move admitted patients to the floors because rooms are not available or ready. In hospitals that have drastically improved diversion, they have done so by expediting elective surgeries and room turn around times on the floor. You have to improve flow throughout the whole facility to solve the diversion issue p.S. Another mind blower, consutants in the industry are now promoting that ERs do away with the triage process and see everyone as they appear, to avoid logjams. Sounds crazy but it is true.
