  1. Bin Ladin apparently had gone on record, saying he felt only Allah could judge him. The SEALs have arranged his going to that courtroom!

  2. Just an update: Presented Zantac IV today and was approved by our SOCC and Medical Directors. It goes to the system wide medical directorate next month and will likely be approved. Only debate was wich would be mosr ecost effective, IV Zantac or IV Pepcid. We will likely go with one or the other.

  3. Sorry, but there IS evil in this world. Does anyone think we aren't better off being rid of people like John Wayne Gacy, Hitler, Sadam, OBL, Ted Bundy, or any one of dozens of other mass murderers? Justice, revenge, the price of war- it's just a name. Does any nation- besides die hard pacifists- really think less of the US because of what we did to OBL? Even the "real" Muslims are happy this guy is burning in hell right now. Call me a thug, unevolved, vicious, vengeful- whatever. I have no problem with ridding the world of someone who has gleefully accepted credit for killing over 3000 innocent men, women, and children. The terrorists don't need another reason to hate us- they already hate everything about us and they have repeatedly sworn they are mortal enemies, and if this triggers another attack- so be it. Does anyone really think they weren't already planning something else? We have broken up multiple plots since 9/11, and many more that will never be publically known. Celebrate? Depends on your definition. Cheering in the streets- well, I do not agree with that, but hoisting a drink to honor those who died on 9/11, and to everyone involved in the fight against terrorism? Absolutely, and the first round is on me. I would be proud to buy that entire Navy Seal Team a round as a thank you for what they did.

  4. Holy thread derail Batman LOL I am not going to bite BUT will add this. The reason this was a kill mission and not a capture mission is because of the security threat if he was captured alive. No matter what country "hosted" his detention would be at a huge security risk. The trail could never be public because it would possibly be over run to break him out. Equating him to Nazi and the Nurenburg Trials is WAY off base. Noone fanatical was going to come overrunning the prisons to get them out or start blowing shyt up to make a point. Bin Laden would have that happening if he was left alive. Hijackings, suicide bombings, car bombs, ect ect would start up everywhere with Al Quida (sp) claming responsiblity and telling everyone it will continue until his release. Then the international backlash of people yelling to release him to make it all stop would be deafing. The safest way and a way that would keep as many innocent civilians safe was to kill him. Yes we may see some spike in terrorism because of it, but it will die out quickly because there is no way of bringing back a dead man. As for the jubilation in the streets, its because of the closure folks feel they got. For alot of people with him alive there was no closure. Picture that in your heart and mind for 10 years then waking up one morning and hearing the cause of all your pain and suffering was finally gone. Yes jubilation comes to mind. Same as families do in courtrooms when criminals get found guilty. As for my opinion.. he got what was coming to him. Seal Team 6 I salute you and want to buy you all a beer. and now a word from Toby Keith.... "Justice will be served And the battle will rage This big dog will fight When you rattle his cage And you'll be sorry that you messed with The U.S. of A. 'cause we'll put a boot in your ass It's the American way"

  5. "Delta F508" is the most common mutation of the defective gene. Cystic Fibrosis is often misdiagnosed as asthma, failure to thrive, and even Chrone's Disease. One in 20 of us is a symptomless carrier of the defective gene. It takes BOTH parents being carriers to produce a child with CF. When both parents are carriers, they have a 25% chance of EACH PREGNANCY of producing a carrier and a 50% chance of producing a child with CF. Thusfore, a female child with CF will find it difficult to conceive and the male with CF will almost certainly be sterile, because of the thick secretions of course. These thick secretions are present THROUGHOUT the body wherever mucus is found. Cystic Fibrosis affects caucasions predominantely, much like Sicle Cell affects african americans. I disagree with the thought that 0-18 year olds staphylococcus aureus and haemophilus influenzae are the most common infections and, after age eighteen pseudomonas aeruginosa becomes the dominant infectious agent in respiratory infections. I see MRSA, as well as pseudomonas, in teenagers as well as adults and have seen it for years.....also, I believe Bieber is correct on the "median" age for life expectancy of someone with CF, however, please take into consideration that I believe that life expectancy isn't what's on paper....life expectancy is how you handle your body...treatments, medications, excercise, and a healthy mind will allow one to live just as long or longer than anyone else that is healthy otherwise. Reference: Encyclopedia of "Mom of 2 CF girls" ***Please excuse any misspellings or non use of proper terminology, as it's late and I'm very tired***

  6. If that's because they never run MVA's, great. If they are running MVA's and not using them, RUN from that service ASAP. It's a bunch of lazy, ignorant, unprofessional losers who will be a bad influence on you and eventually get you involved in a lawsuit.
