Yeah, I would find it funnier if I hated Muslims.... But I don't, and I don't really get the hate that people continue to sling at them. Hating Muslims for 9/11 is like a child hating all dark haired people because he saw a monster on a cartoon. Muslims are simply a near random point for people to focus their hate and fear. They, as a group, haven't earned that, that I can see. Plus, I don't remember them being intolerant of any of the types of business that you've mentioned, but I may have missed it.. Sorry girl, not trying to be a party pooper, but hating on random people simply because they share a religion isn't working for me. Wanna hate? Take a look at Christians...I'm not sure that any religion has done more evil, all in the 'Name of God' then they have... Dwayne

Medical school is hard & complex enough without this added annoyance. Unless you're planning to work in an ER, EMT training is going to be of little practical use. Granted, all students should know BLS & ALS practices, but why if somebody wants to be a dermatologist, then why should they have to ride an ambulance to do so? Hell, if somebody wants to be a general practitioner, why should they have to ride an ambulance? Remember when you guys jumped on me for carrying LE equipment and having combat training? This is similar to that. Doctors and EMTs have very different jobs, and I think it's silly to require that doctors learn how to be EMTs. Plus, I'd probably hate to ride with a med student. I have a strong feeling they'd be full of themselves.

Say someone got a serious injury from a sharp object. Like, a knife, or a sharp piece of wood, or whatever, and it stays in their body, and here I come to give first aid. My first instinct would be to leave the object there, call an ambulance, and there would be nothing else I could do. Is that right? PS. I'm a medic. And it never happened to me, I'm just wondering.
