  2. I've used this at work. I think I even have one or two sitting on my desk here at home. The idea is that it's supposed to limit blood flow for distal finger injuries for wound repair purposes. In theory, the idea is great. In practice they're a little difficult to place. They'll catch the proximal edge of the wound making it difficult to actually place the ring on the finger without causing further damage. Most of the time, if I have a distal finger or toe injury where I want to slow the blood flow for wound repair I'll just grab a tourniquet from an IV start kid and tie that off, complete the wound repair then take it off.

  3. I tried to watch the vid but the link said that it didn't exist. I made a drawing/collage (could be classified as the latter...?) for...well not specifically for EMS week, but that's when I'm publishing it! Thanks to everyone who is in EMS now and who was in the past. You are all heroes to me http://leastrandomnumber.com/national-ems-week-2014-collage/

  4. Don't mind him, Levi. He's not a health care provider. He just like to pretend to be one.

  5. Keep up the good work Cad, All, Caduceus is making us proud, she came in here an unknown wanting to get training in EMS and look at her. She's really learning. Wouldn't it be great if all our students and new medics/emt's were as into learning as she is. Keep up the good work
