  1. If you're 14 like you claim how are you showing up on scene in a car with a license plate that says "firefighter"? You can't drive yet. I'll only echo the comments made by others here and go one further by saying perhaps if EMS moved away from the volunteer model and stopped giving away services for free (and thereby devaluing the industry as a whole) then we wouldn't have to worry about silly things like badges. As it stands EMS has larger things to worry about than wearing badges. Education, for example, is something to worry about.

  2. most professionals don't worry about being badge bunnies. 1. A badge is more likely to get you shot at by folks who don't look kindly on law enforcement. 2. any douche can buy a generic badge from a galls catalog so they are meaningless. 3. children seem to play with fake badges until they grow up 4. A badge doesn't make you a licensed emergency medical technician in the eyes of the law. 5. flashing one when not licensed is a crime.

  3. I love my Leatherman Rebar. I was given a pair of Leatherman Raptor shears that live in the center console of my command rig but are a touch bulky for belt space and I don't like wearing stuff in ems pants cargo pockets. BayaMedic

  4. Welcome. I've always used a leatherman multipurpose tool and so has my husband. Having screwdrivers and such comes in handy sometimes and they're small enough to fit on my belt without being bulky.
