1. Nope, but I used to play in the sand box quite a bit as a child..
2. There should be a unit on standby for every two users, in case of electrocution...
3. [/align:7b797ac0d1] Since you ate all the young rookies, you'll have to clean that up yourself.[/align:7b797ac0d1]
4. Doing it for free will prevent some white trash hick from profiting through inflation, off of already poor people. There are prolly unions that cover people who charge unheard of prices to help clean up. [spoil:b071227c62]Sarcasm[/spoil:b071227c62]
5. Okay, so.. Where is the video?
6. Like on "The Burbs"...
7. Actually, I was suggesting the 16 and 17 year olds, as well as the 18-21 year olds.. Everyone gets one chance with me. If you can't prove your worth up front, I'm not looking for it down the road.
8. I'm sure some of those kids are more mature than a select few on here.
9. I know what you meant. I'm just using this as an opportunity to allow my brain to, puke, per se.. some of the completely useless information out... Therefore, even though Canada has been Independent from England for 141ish years. I suppose, yes, Minnesota could be considered in New England. Western... New England. [spoil:3c94859a62]It has to be the pills.. sorry.[/spoil:3c94859a62]
10. If they want to be taken to the nurse.. call a cab.. drive, carry, drag, etc.. them there. If they need to call EMS, take them to a hospital. IMO, no EMT or Paramedic is qualified enough to decide whether or not my ailment is alcohol/drug related, or medical in nature. If the friend is concerned enough to say they need medical attention; then the concern should be about their life. Rather than their financial situation.
11. I can't tell if it's me that is confused, or you.
12. Given what we know about Society in general, I'm surprised they didn't have it euthanized.
13. Don't second guess, stay calm & collected, verbalize what you're doing; stay focused, and pay attention to every detail you're given in Practicals; and the written should be quite easy. OMG. I agree with Dust. First, allow me to clarify; I'm not saying this to the Original Poster, I mean in general. There should be a law, no offense to anyone, if you cannot pass the class on the first try.. It should be at least five years before you can take the class again, and test. No retesting. The course is spaced out and simple enough, that it's unacceptable to not know what you were taught in a span of just 120-140 hours.
14. Good thing I'm a subscriber.. Except it took nearly fifteen minutes to "Claim Access" I sent you a private message with the full text version of the Article. To view JEMS archives, you either need an account number, or a credit card w/ a balance of at least $31. Hope that helps. *Spelling edit.. It's 5:14 am. My brain doesn't work well at this hour.
15. Their website states: Since 1990 and flying over 135,000 patient missions, AEL has experienced neither a weather-related accident nor an accident related to its maintenance program;
16. We've called one to a scene, at the request of a patients family. But just like everyone else, no visitors in the back while enroute (unless someone is on deaths doorstep-and doesn't want any help from us to prevent that). I don't and I won't pray with patients, it makes me uncomfortable. I'll gladly hold their hand, while they do it. I'm not a religious person, in fact I get very pissed when people try to press their beliefs upon me. I use the box as a neutral, judgment free environment. If we have people afraid to talk, because of someone listening in, be it a cop, a fellow employee, the press or a priest.. It may damage what little safe haven of trust, that may exist in the back of the ambulance.
17. Sarah Palin... Perfect name for a photoshop game. [/align:9be94fdd74] [/align:9be94fdd74]
18. Careful, she'll break your other arm..
19. I would have liked to see epi pens mandatory... I've been trying to get my company to buy them, but they still believe it's okay put a price limit on saving lives. Aside from that, as usual, I think there needs to be a set of protocols that are written by people who are familiar with rural areas. Not Lancaster rural, or Lehigh Valley rural; North West, Central and Eastern PA rural. Counties that don't have hospitals, much less able to reach a Level 1 or a good level 2, with in an hour. Charcoal is now Optional. Added Hemostatic Gauze/Powders/Agents are optional Emphasis on field tourniquet use, they cite is as an underused tool. Suggests commercially produced or military type devices.
20. How about making or printing a Nitro-stat label and putting it on a bottle of breath freshening spray? Or.. Buying a small bottle w/ a spray top, and filling it with something else; then adding a label? You can probably find them in the potpourri or wedding section of a large chain type craft store, like Michaels, which they do have in Canada.
21. Transport to the best facility, and threaten their life, if they refuse, in private of course.. So, that way, you can deny it.
