  1. Sounds like you just wanna feel'em up..
  2. How about a book on, How to Read a Book? Amazon Link - How to Read a Book by Mortimer J. Adler (Published in 1940 - and it's about how to gather information, while reading a book.. But still. The title.)
  3. Took me a second to see the "Here" flashing at the top.
  4. I'm rural.. and have never needed any of the commonsense skills it taught.
  5. You could invite people from the Tactical EMS site, so we could have a SWAT team on hand?
  6. I didn't miss the point, I know perfectly well what he meant. He's right, as far as that goes. I was being sarcastic. It's just that, with so many threads turning anti-volunteer, it's getting old.
  7. Yes. Habitat for humanity; and a group of local RN's and LPN's volunteer for the red cross.
  8. Often, you see in film, media, and photographs that patients are carried.. That's because prior to probably the late 60's/early 70's, (most) ambulance cots were not multiple level capable. They were 6 to 8" off the ground, some had handles to be lead with, some didn't. If we have to carry someone, other than normal procedures, I'm a big fan of collapsible and folding stretchers. (Reeves, Junkin, etc)
  9. PA has one of those too; Administrative Actions. http://www.dsf.health.state.pa.us/health/l...cplinaryweb.pdf
  10. That looks like our cover-alls, except a little less orange, and with pockets and length-zippers.
  11. Garage? We keep them in the end of the fire station, between the ATV and the Restrooms.
  12. There's that lovable charm I missed. :hippy2:
  13. Doubt it, we had a kid in five different wrecks, with five different brand new cars. One hit a couple head on, and ended up with their unborn child dying.. and he's cruising around in a sixth new car. Running out of lives.
  14. [s:d90c3ccdce]WTH is a word cloud?[/s:d90c3ccdce] Nevermind.
  15. That's not a factual statement, do you have a document that suggests that every volunteer in the US is poorly trained and poorly educated? If not, I don't have anything else to add. You just struck a nerve, throwing that nonsensical garbage around. You haven't proved anything, just stated your opinion. I don't have a problem w/ that.
  16. The forum is to segregate and banish a group, because you're intolerant of what they choose to do?
  17. I just love your stereotypical ignorance.
  18. How the f*** do you manage that? Looks like a cheap barrier on a box culvert bridge. Township road, no flared anchor for the end buffer or impact absorbing terminal cap on the ends?
  19. http://www.rockingham.org/
  20. This is the middle of nowhere. Everything that happens, requiring fire or EMS, is news. Should the story not be front page news, it ends up in the individual community gossip column. XX was taken to the hospital for XX by XX Ambulance.. and Billy Bob stayed with Billy Sue of Anytown for three days.
  21. No responder, in their POV, paid or volunteer should be afforded special privileges that allow them to ignore traffic laws.
  22. We lost a baby, and I don't think there was a single person in the ER or on the rig that didn't let a little more out than usual. Basic human emotion.. like spleen said. The day I can't feel, is my last day.
  23. Thanks to Galls, every whacker on the globe has at least ten.
