  1. You'd have to pick it up at that price... I use it for camping.
  2. In my opinion, and I really don't want to dig deep or speculate with out more information; but I foresee it being bad for smaller services. Small, one town companies, "mom and pop" services, possibly voluntary services that do bill. I don't support EMS that doesn't bill the patient for costs. We're a "rural" service, so we get more reimbursed. Medicare is definitely in the red, as far as what they owe us. I see more bills going to collections. I don't like to see a monopoly of ambulance companies. But I do think that Obamacare, with bundled costs, will have less of that money going to the EMS end of health care. Thus, the loss of services that are fighting to hang on, tooth and nail as it is.
  3. First (the victim) couldn't breathe or pee, now it's (the victims) boys and heart. Is this a pattern, or does (the victim) secretly need to see Dr. Drew? Clearly (the victim) is being kicked in the groin, maced and tazed. Maybe (the victim) needs to try a different approach?
  4. Ooh.. Look at that HOT fog pattern.
  5. Want to be?
  6. Perhaps, Right click, view, save, and upload to photobucket. Clearly, this person has "Friends Only" or "Friends of Friends" set to who can view their images. It's probably a good link. But nobody is a friend of them, electronically, so hence, they cannot view it.
  7. Wrong. and I accept Visa, MasterCard and PayPal. Those inflatable boats that are required by PA DOH for Heavy Rescue Certification, would have worked. If they have a state certified rescue truck, then they should have one. That's a big thing anymore, to have state decals all over your apparatus. Good for getting grants.
  8. Woo Hoo, I posted the first ad. It actually just ended on eBay, also have it posted on Ambulance Trader. 30 y/o stretcher was bought for an RTV. An agency *assumed* its wheels would fit in standard wheel cups, like one would find on a bench seat. Fail. So, I bought it from them, just because.
  9. Sorry, Spleen, there is no category for your soul.
  10. You have to fill in the drain holes on the Ferno Rescue Basket, for it to be used effectively, on a patient not already affected by the cold. But otherwise, it does make a good sled. We used rope and a stokes all the time, to take patients out of homes where there is deep snow, and no way to carry them up to or down to, the roadway. 25' of rope, and four guys, and you're in business.
  11. Progressive Medical International Progressive Medical International, my main supplier, sells refurbished Defibs, including the M Series by Zoll. These guys are about the cheapest place I've used. In fact, they specialize in supplying refurbished medical machines, in addition to regular EMS Supplies. It's a government contractor, as well as civilian, so I would vouch for them. If you're buying it for a service, to use, then you'll want to make sure you're getting something that will work. Not all "recycled" defibrillators are something you want to carry into battle, per se.
  12. As one of 100% untainted Irish descent, I do not drink. There are plenty of those in my family of the past, that did that for me. However, it is part of the spirit of the day, and I really don't care. Firefighting is big among the Irish. I'd drink, with a NYC fireman.. If I drank. But what I do not support, is consumption of alcohol, in view of the public eye (media, bystanders) in a decorated and honored uniform. That is not cool.
  13. They need better tools for extreme measures. We have this thing you hook onto a snowmobile, holds and seals in, a wheel and post stretcher. Just get one of those Junkin stretchers with an elevating head end, and you're set. While we don't own a snowmobile.. Someone does, and chances are, they'll offer to help. It's called Mutual Aid. I realize it's a city. I've been there, I live in PA.. But I know these other resources exist, you just have to seek the help. In 30 hours, they would have been able to find a fire company, ambulance, or SAR team to provide......mutual aid.
  14. I marked myself at the Nuclear Power Plant at Chernobyl. Just put in your GPS Coordinates.
  15. In every partnership of Hollywood. You have a cute, funny one that is slightly dumb.. And you have a realistic, handsome one that is really smart. There you have.. Johnny and Roy, respectively.
  16. I've noticed, randomly, that images posted on the forums, just pop up in the chat room. test
  17. Your ambulance is a Cadillac high-top?
  18. Weird.. When u posted that space suit thing, the picture showed up in the chat room.
  19. Is this a spill over from JEMS Connect...? ...where is was made into a matter of hysteric laughter with the use of visual aids?
  20. I don't watch the show anymore. However, I find this more entertaining. It's like a mild, text, version of Judge Judy.
  21. It looks like a cheap version of the SKED.
  22. Shit. I missed House.
