I could never accept an ambulance with just one stretcher.. Gotta have two places to transport someone, otherwise, we'd never be able to get enough mutual aid. We'd need to an MCI response to every multiple vehicle accident.

Prolly the same way you can buy a 2010 car... in 2009.. A new, projected, model. Implement the training now, retrain everyone to the new protocol.. and Enact it in 2010. Sounds like a fairly normal approach.

These companies that sell the "Pet Oxygen Masks" make them out to be a revolutionary, rare, product. However. Any vet surgical supply business would have them. They're for resuscitation and anesthesia, they've probably been around for decades. They even make them for animals the size of mice, or as large as a horse or cow. But they're expensive as all hell. If you're just looking to give oxygen, you can probably make a mask easier than buy one. Just leave it somewhere it won't come apart, and mark on it what it's to be used for. I've never had a cell phone or radio keep the defibrillator from firing.. The pads couldn't transmit a reading? They're hooked to a fricken wire, not an antenna. WTF has he been smoking?

I tell them if you don't want to do it right.. Drive. Because that's all they're good for. I hate it, down right hate it; when people take short cuts on patient care. I'm a very thorough person, and it's a sure as shit way to piss me off. I have no problem telling someone that they're breaking the No. 1 rule - do no harm. Then, I guilt trip them; and don't let them forget about it. Take it to a sit down, line out exactly how the fucked up, and what should have been done.. and suggest they get up and leave, if that's the kind of provider they want to be. Usually cures their lazy ass syndrome.

They don't mention that "Ambulance Attendant" was phased out from a DOH certification, and is now being brought back. A step backward.. Good on the state certification of Drivers; had to have EVO before, but now it will be a state certification, with biannual continuing education requirements. The EMS Act may not have said a Director was required, but the wording of the requirements for a ground ambulance, air ambulance and Squad Service - be it ALS, BLS or QRS; included a medical director on paper, before licensing. Though, this will be the first real update to the act, in its entirety, in a quite substantial period of time. ... damn.. the power just went out.

That really doesn't apply to a swarm of bees. Bee's are just another animal (yes - Bees are animals) that can kill you, unprovoked. You may not even know the bees are there, but they will know that you are, and their nature will decide if that's a threat or not. Whether or not you die, must depend on the alignment of the planets.. (sarcasm) Because today you could be stung, and be fine; and tomorrow you could be stung and die.
