  1. Thats what we still use here for wreck. 10-51 for a wrecker. But I try and force the dispatch to just use plain english.
  2. Nice to meet you Goddess.
  3. OK I am an oilfield worker. Sorry I lied but hey right now I'm even making more than you docs. But you just sealed the fact that you are admin by knowing so much about a gentlemens sport like baseball. All I am is a common man and only understand the violent uncouth game of football.
  4. Whats it hurt? Have you ever seen the uniforms of some of the other countrys Paramedics, very bright. Why not wear something for safety? In fact if you get injured on a wreck not wearing it, since it is mandatory, you may not even get workers comp much less the jackpot. Is that strong enough encouragement? Umm also careful with spell check some of your words make no sense.
  5. I say go paid. Be in uniform provided. Be at the station. Respond in the ambulance. There problem solved.
  6. Thank you. It is an important subject. To many times those of us that joke forget that some do not realize or perhaps even know not all is as it appears. Thank you more experienced members for the real life examples of that.
  7. Actually certain types of injurys/illnesses/etc could preclude a person from qualifying for a job. A company has the legal right not to hire a person if they can not perform the duty of the job. Certain injurys/illnesses/etc could meet the reasonable expectation of not being able to do the job. This is a very touchy and for that matter a difficult legal issue are that you would really need a top notch labor law/ ADA/ lawyer to work with.
  8. As before normal range will be close to whatever the book says but maybe not exactly for testing purposes.
  9. From the King James Version - Really describes the times we live in. 2Ti 3:1 ¶ This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2Ti 3:2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 2Ti 3:3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 2Ti 3:4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; 2Ti 3:5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
  10. Welcome to the city AlamanceMD. Thanks for the reference link. We appreciate you doctors taking time to help us move EMS forward as a profession. A question though. You mention removing morphine, do you mean completely from the ambulance or just chest pain protocol. I ask because it would seem having options would be a good thing for your paramedics that are properly educated. Does morphine still have a place in pain management of any sort or should it be completely done away with?
  11. Well darn you spenac will you ever learn to use the search button? Worthless excuse of a 3 poster taxi driver want a be.
  12. Ok on a post that got locked Kaisu wrote This was in response to my hand drop over the face breaking patient nose comment. First let me say I have never had a patient break their nose, for that matter their hand has never even touched their nose. Why because it is only used on those that are truly faking and yes before going to it I was 100% sure it was not a disassociative disorder of any type. But I think it would be wise to discuss what Kaisu brought up because it is truth. Have you ever had a patient as described by Kaisu you suspect faking but just not quite 100% sure? What finally tipped you off they were not faking? What subtle differences do you find between the fakers and those that are disassociative?
  13. Yup steers and THE COWBOYs the 5 time superbowl champions come from Texas. No one would ever be upset with you admin umm ERDoc, no one takes the person in charge seriously anyway.
  14. For immediate release. Spenac Paramedic Academy is proud to announce that the Fast Track Paramedic just got faster. How is that possible you ask? Well through a special arrangement classes will be held at your clinical/field sites that are extremely slow. So all hours sitting waiting for patients will be used to train you your paramedic skills. By doing this your class hours and clinical hours will be handled at one time. So just how short is it? Not 60 days, not 45 days, in just 30 short days you too can be the paramedic your service wants you to be. And now the best part is this new improved Fast Track Paramedic class is still the same low price. Hurry reserve your spot in the next class as demand is high thanks to all those do the minimum services in your area.
  15. That reminds me of a kid that was at our deer hunting camp. He went hiking around and came back all excited because he had found a bunch of brown M&M's somebody had dropped. Couldn't uderstand why they only left the brown ones. His pockets were full. He denied eating them when asked.
  16. Expanding your mind hurts. I think I will quit studying and just let my mind shrink. Jessi keep up the good work.
  17. So you should be banned as we all know you are admin. But we all know rules are do as I say not as I do.
  18. Another young persons best memorys shattered, I have done my job.
  19. Well at least now I no you are checking out the wrong spenac because this one is a true Texan, born and raised, not one of the want a be's from New York that claim they got here as fast as they could. Careful what you say just might start the next civil war ERDoc or should I say admin.
  20. Yes at the Spenac Academy Fasttrack Paramedic program we believe in being positive, thus there are no wrong answers.
  21. But I will be an amazing medic. My mommy done told me so. I agree weird question. But it has lots of things to distract you. In preparation for NR testing you need to be taught how to focus on what is relevant to the question and what is not needed. A question could start out with the patients name. Give you a ton of info then ask what is your patients name? So they are trying to get you to learn to actually look at what is being asked. I hope.
  22. Just about every book will be slightly different on what they call normal vital signs. When you go take the exam pick the set that is closest to what your book said. In the field treat the patient their numbers maybe in the normal but it is obvious they are blue, they need something. Hope that helps a little.

We focus on what to do, not why you do it. We do not waste time educating you on things your employer will not allow you to use. We do not waste time on the past, we do not focus on the future as we are confident that EMS has advanced as far as it can. We are confident our training will enable you to handle your job long enough to move to the profession you want. We give you the minimum required so you can get done quicker and start making money. How? Just one example:We teach you how to place the 12 lead not how to interpret, let the machine tell you whats wrong, then read your protocol book or call the doctor to find out how to treat[/align:5d323db037].
