  1. That pimple has a lot of puss.
  2. Dust is a whacker. I just never thought I would hear that you were buying badges, never ever thought it. Shock, disbelief. How can I ever take advice from you again?
  3. If you have to work in a you call we haul system there should be a rule like the dump and pump. Dump the patient wherever and pump the gas and go. Resources should not be wasted waiting around.
  4. That would suck. I would rather stay on the ambulance and let them call me when they have a room ready. Thankfully small towns very seldom do we have to wait.
  5. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA I used to do a bunch of them at the old job. We actually were the only service with the code to enter labor and delivery. All the other services had to have a nurse escort them in. Of course we delivered babys in their delivery rooms several times when doc didn't get there quick enough. As far as triage nurse, same nurse was also ER nurse so she signed whether she sent them to triage or to a room for immediate treatment.
  6. But I hate when I have to pay shipping to get warranty repair. It's like my cheap $5 watch. Lifetime warranty. Just send it back with $12 for return S&H and they will repair or replace it free. :? I'll just go buy another watch, much cheaper.
  7. :knob: :crybaby: :occasion5: OK I'm over it. I never said the reason given was correct. I said it was the reason given. In many first aid courses and documents online it is the reason given for not using ice. Your answer could be more scientifically correct. brushteeth Sorry had to wash that taste out of my mouth after agreeing. My personal opinion is that unless they get you SQ, the toxin is circulating almost immediately. Much like IM. Very quick action. Anybody here still do rolling tourniquet for snake bite?
  8. Dwayne I have not seen it occur. Of course I never put ice directly on site. I always put a towel between icepak and skin. I do know some of the older instant icepaks I used got a lot colder and a lot faster than those we carry today, they almost seemed to act more like dry ice. I have had my fingers get stuck to the icepak before I got it wrapped. I really believe that if someone were to have placed those on somebodys skin it would have destroyed tissue within a short time. I really wish I was energetic enough to locate the info from the snake doc in Florida.
  9. Dang I gotta take up fishing so I quit hearing such tales.
  10. Since I am answering first anything free? Quality is most important. Price sadly always comes into question, but I will pay more if I am confident it is worth the extra change. Satisfaction. If I buy something I have never bought before I like the option of returning it no questions asked.
  11. Amputation is the only sure cure  . Go big or go home as dust says.
  12. One question. Who's the bigger liar, a fisherman or an EMT?
  13. In the old days we thought it slowed the spread of the toxins from the snake bite.
  14. Frost bite. More tissue damage than you get from snake bite. And it's just the current way of thinking. It will change again sometime somewhere. There is an article by a snake bite expert from Florida that discusses it more but you will have to research as I'm to lazy to find it sorry.
  15. Instead of cardiovert you choose brainvert.
  16. Yea she could have hosed him.
  17. Or are you asking about denying transport to a patient?
  18. Chemical restraints in conjunction with physical restraints. Only way to go.
  19. I'll even behave longer if that helps. Admin please lock this long over argued thread. Please I'll even be good for a little while. Thank you.
  20. I'm a brain surgeon not a rocket scientist, so don't ask me.
  21. This is the fights not the forums there is no point to anything we do. Oh by the way checked out the downloads on your site. Thanks for the resources.
  22. Have you googled it? No idea of anywhere else to direct you at this time. Sorry.
  23. Aren't you? I mean you live with your head in the clouds.
