That is freaking sad. You would rather waste valuable ambulance time and ER space than to be honest with someone. Plus get them a huge transport bill because medicaid/medicare will not pay. It costs you a pay raise when no money comes in because they are not going to pay. The whole I am not going to use my brain and say no argument is a bigger reason than any other why we are and will remain low paid taxi drivers rather than health care professionals.

You are so wrong, sometimes they are GOD, his son Jesus, or the arch enemy Satan. I have had all 3 on my ambulance more than once. I hate when Jesus calls me God. That just freaks me out. Mental patients deserve proper treatment. Proper treatment can and does require protecting them from themselves and protecting ourselves from them.

I disagree. If a women chooses to enter a field she should have to pass the same tests as men do. In a fire, are injured people going to get lighter just because the fire fighter is a female? No. Is the hose going to get lighter? No. Are the male fire fighters going to have to do more than the females? Yes, if you allow females lighter weights and more time on the test.

One possibility is Enough Stupid F..... . But I really don't know. But requiring a numbering system that even those involved don't know just backs my opinion that we have to many of these so called teams. I still feel funds wasted on them would be better used by the local communitys. Properly staffed and equipped communities would be better than what we have today with all these teams.

Wendy I agree with some of your post. I am all for threads developing and exploring. This topic has gotten out of hand. I was trying to be polite by saying politics etc. This topic has become more of a hate fest than a productive discussion. It has become a stomping ground for a couple of very opinionated people spewing opinions that border on racist attacks even if they think it sounds educational. Racism is a real and complicated problem. But no good is coming of the current discussions, that is why I asked about getting back on topic.
