    I am glad you found the humor as well. Some on this site have obviously had their humerus removed which keeps them from seeing the humor of the jokes. :roll: Even if the humor failed it was obvious it was all jokes and not anything serious.

    I gotta be honest I read back to those posts that this started with and there was nothing but joking around going on. Anyone that took offense is to thin skinned for EMS. Even when I jokingly jumped on Brent, he had not made any comment to the child. I was p.m.'ed about the comments and well I see nothing that was obviously not said in fun and no porn language or pics used. So I agree with dispatchers call to loosen up.

    Wow, that sucks. Even as a first responder I could discuss things with our medical director. As a basic I was able to get many things improved. Our director does not care who you are, she will listen. Answer maybe no but she will listen.

    Really this would be from the discussion that this spun from, but in my opinion it would be wrong to leave patients children alone at the house. So you would have to take them with you. You would have to properly secure them. No lights and sirens. Drive obeying all laws. Children are a distraction and also are very well known for not staying buckled, do not put them at further risks. If possible meet LE or FF enroute to hospital and dump the kids on them so you can focus on patient care.

    Children should not be on emergency calls. If you are off duty with your family be with your family. It is bad enough that we might bring home a sickness, why expose them to the risks that we are paid to take.

    Yes it could happen, it could be real, kind of like Santa Clause and the Easter Bunny are real. It would be nice to see the NR be more user friendly since so many states choose to use them.
