  1. A chippendale. Would have continued owning my business.
  2. Speedy I agree lets keep the nicer fitting EMS pants with a nice fitted better quality scrub top. I'll wait and let someone else design the new EMS logo, as what keeps coming to my mind is a lady walking in the river with a babys head popping out between her legs. As far as the normal sinus are you sure it's NSR, many I've seen have a wide QRS complex?

  4. In my opinion fire should have nothing to do with EMS, beyond assisting extrication. They should have first responder education. They should not be on the ambulance. Fire and EMS are 2 seperate monsters. You can not give your best 2 both and be worth adarn at either. Choose one and run with it. Fire is not needed very often in comparision to EMS. As a tax payer I can see the need for 2 guys sitting by waiting with the ambulance because somebody, possibly myself will need them today. Fire may not be needed for months on in in many rural areas. Sorry but if I have any say in how my tax money is spent it would be for paramedic staffed ambulances over FF.
  5. Thought that was a star of life for EMS?

  10. Thats CBT for you. If you know a subject one or two well really a few more what they call tougher questions and if you get them right no more on that subject. I hear that from testers at all levels. If it's second time they focus on weak area and see almost no questions on that area. Good attitude, you can do it.

  16. Those had to be pointed away from areas that people actually changed in unless I missed something.
  17. The scrubs that were posted are more form fitted and not see thru. Not talking about the cheap basic scrubs. Also as mentioned we could still keep our EMS pants. Hey maybe we would scare people from calling with BS if the saw what you describe. Tshirts and polos make me think of students not healthcare professionals.
  18. Everyone wears jackets or coats in winter even Doctors or Nurses. You can take it off when inside or unzip and they will see scrubs. Again as discussed by others could use flight or jump suits for bad weather.
  19. Pointed at the door is one thing, but the bed itself is an area where a person does have a reasonable expectation of privacy and bedrooms are also considered as dressing rooms, unless I guess the company states must sleep fully clothed at all times.
  20. Ever hear of a jacket, oops sorry forgot talking to a dispatcher. Go over by the wall, you know which one, no not that one the one in the opposite direction you just went, there are some metal objects sticking out of it and get that heavy kinda looks like a shirt thing and put it on and you should be able to stay warm.
  21. Just do a little dance. That will get them talking and maybe showing video, then they're busted for invading an area that a person has a reasonable expectation of privacy. Make it good so it makes UTUBE(misspelled on purpose).

  23. Just relax and do your rapid trauma assessment, just seems harder because you have to ask what you would normally see or feel, and cover the points mentioned. You'll get it.
  24. Verbalize decap btls, touch everything, gun shot one hole front one back cover both, abc's, expose them to the level your testing site allows. ask lots of questions, is trachea midline, jvd?, etc. Ask if any spurting bright red blood anywhere as you walk in. Just a few ideas.
  25. You don't think healthcare when you see a polo or tshirt. When you see someone in scrubs you automatically think they are a healthcare provider. I am looking for a way to see us and say healthcare professional, don't want them to have to read my shirt to know it.
