  1. Up to 119. And my negative count is rising to. Yay negatives. Glad some people take things personal then cowardly attack people.
  2. And my negative for you was because this post of yours shows you read into my statement something that was not there. I expressed an interest and was happy to see this topic. I expressed disappointment in the pay scale there. I was actually shocked to see it be so low especially with the higher cost of living. I thank you for at least manning up about posting a negative.
  3. If there's video or photos I am sure they will surface eventually.
  4. My explanation was the medical benefit not a political statement. Paid or not is is nice to see someone show appreciation. Much like I show appreciation to the clerk and give them a tip, even though they are paid to help me. So I still call BS on your negative but I thank you for actually manning up as most do not admit and explain why they leave a negative. This is still a great ideal to help a large number of patients that we will probably run on. Yes as Ruff mentioned there are other worthy causes listed so vote for them as well. You have 10 votes a day and can only vote 1 time for any one cause per day.
  5. I wish they spoke English so I could understand what they were saying. I kept expecting them to to say something about smoking a fag while awaiting the bobbies.
  6. Get voting people. Yesterday we had them up to 120 now they are 122.
  7. I have no clue why.
  8. http://www.firerescue1.com/fire-attack/articles/818298-Topless-Aussie-sunbather-battles-fire/ Topless Aussie sunbather battles fire Tash Bennett grabbed a fire hose from the pool to douse the flames By Nick Calacouras Northern Territory News DARWIN, Australia — A woman put the safety of her neighbours over her own modesty when she saved an apartment building from going up in flames — topless. Fitness instructor Tash Bennett was sunbaking by the pool of the Alatai Apartments in Darwin city on Thursday afternoon when a nearby palm tree caught on fire. "I was just lying there when some ash fell on top of me," she said. "I wasn't really paying attention because I was listening to my iPod." Ms Bennett raced to reception for help before rushing back to the pool to use the fire hose. It was only after battling the blaze for five minutes that she looked down and realised that she was still topless from the sunbaking. "I was pretty red faced on the day, having to hold myself while running to reception," she said. I was sunbaking. I wasn't exactly prepared. But you've got to put out the fire before you deal with that." One witness, Johnny McCoy said the heroic hottie had a full audience of residents while she battled the blaze. "For the record, she was smoking hot herself, but provided all the boys a pretty awesome sight for an otherwise typical Thursday," he said. "Once she had the blaze under control, she then got her bikini situation under control and put everything back where it should be." After the blaze, Ms Bennett resumed her sunbaking while she waiting for the fire crew to arrive. Her husband, Daniel McNamee said he was proud of his wife's quick actions in the emergency situation. "Apparently the flames were pretty high. It could have taken out the building," he said. http://www.ntnews.com.au/article/2010/05/13/147061_ntnews.html (Click to view this embedded page in a new window)
  9. When I mentioned quality the education is quality education. The site and ease of use are what they need to be able to improve. They have already been making improvements so hopefully we can help get them funds to make it more user friendly and remain free.
  10. I make over that and am in one of the lowest cost of living areas there is. I like Colorado but this old desert dweller would probably freeze to death if I moved up there.
  11. So Lone if you ride a motorcycle with your mouth open would a Breatharain get full faster?
  12. Hope you the best of news soon.

  13. Very true. I really hope this organization will get enough support to win the money. While I speak some Spanish any free help is greatly appreciated.
  14. Well thats better, of course factoring cost of living would still be a pay cut. I may just stay where I am at. Looks like I pissed off some moron as they keep putting negatives on any post I make. To bad they are not man or woman enough to post why they feel a post deserves negative.
  15. Glad to see that some appreciate someone giving something back to emergency providers. Hopefully if they win they can make the site more user friendly. I like the idea some mentioned of posting on other sites. Maybe others will take off with that and lets get some money to help these people help us communicate with our patients.
  16. Wow pay is lousy in Colorado. I actually had thought about looking into Colorado but I think I will hold off as could not afford that big a pay cut. Glad you posted these questions.
  17. http://books.google.com/books?id=k08EuDyQEwcC&printsec=frontcover&dq=Ron+Walls+airway&source=bl&ots=fYLN-xYVEp&sig=foR-RscZamDP9asA5JVoMoR8wfw&hl=en&ei=cg7qS4yWL8H68Abz4PnsDg&sa=X&oi=book_result&ct=result&resnum=4&ved=0CCsQ6AEwAw#v=onepage&q&f=false I really think for a quick reference though the SLAM book is great.
  18. Your ahead of most as French is actually similiar to Spanish in many ways. It may make learning Spanish easier.
  19. Exactly. To provide care you must be able to communicate. I do not agree with what many of my patients are involved with yet I still treat them to the best of my ability. I commend you for the attitude of a true health care professional. Wow I just noticed someone gave me a negative for providing a resource. That is just low by who ever did that.
  20. Thanks for not complying with my request. Start your own topic if you want to bash those that speak other languages. Thank you.
  21. I saw this and thought hey it's free. Not the highest quality but good still. They are entered in a contest Pepsi has so they can earn money to improve the quality so vote for them. Please don't turn this into a political debate of why should I learn Spanish when they should learn English. Regardless of opinions Spanish is a large part of the USA populations first language so maybe we can learn a little so we can better help our patients. I have learned some Spanish and also sign language because of the large deaf community in my area. Even if not fluent you can calm a patient by at least speaking a little of their language. http://www.refresheverything.com/firstresponders
  22. Cincinnati stroke scale? http://www.strokecenter.org/trials/scales/cincinnati.html Does anyone else have power of attorney so they can override her no? Is this droop something new or noted on your previous lift assists? Request adult protective services to see if they can place her under their custody so she will have to be transported. Any odor similar to alcohol on breath? Fruity breath?
  23. What makes it sadder is they were going to be paid to go get the time on the ambulance. They were not volunteering to do it free.
  24. So thats your excuse for ignoring me?
  25. Robot lost Dust already posted. http://www.emtcity.com/index.php/topic/18370-fl-firemonkeys-attempt-to-go-around-medical-director/page__pid__241366__st__0&#entry241366
