I seemed to collapse from exhaustion and just woke up. Have not slept that many hours at one time in years.

Often the hospital wants to see what happens when pacing is removed. Perhaps problem corrected itself. Perhaps the meds you pushed started working late. Perhaps you were wrong. Lets the doctor see just what is going on. Much like O2. Our hospitals like the idea of us removing O2 if patient is not struggling to breath in order to see how much they desat in the couple of minutes from the ambulance to the ER room. Difference is we leave pacing on while they prep for pacing so patient only has short time of going back low pulse if they go back low pulse. Surprising how many seem to maintain a good rate once they have been paced for a half hour. Now there are others that go quickly to a lower rate than they were when we started after we disconnect.

Depends on the school. Some programs are less than 10 people some are well over 20 students.

I really suggest general management so easier to use it out of EMS. Really management is management so what you learn will easily transition to EMS.

I hate wind. Steady above 40 mph and gusts well over that.

It is not rocket science but it does require that you study. If you actually read the book, listen to the lectures, learn the skills properly it will seem easy. As to jobs depends on where you are. Often people post here from California that say they got certified a year ago and still can not get a job. Then you have all the guys that come here and complain that they should be paid better. Had they researched in advance they would have known that they will make minimum wage to just slightly more in some places. You will occassionally hear of a higher paying place but odds are the new emt will not get that opening.

In Texas and many other states Medical Directors were and are having to allow use of expired drugs because of the shortages.

Maybe they do that rather than get a final set in the ambulance like the rest of us? Maybe someone came up with some wild only way to prove you dropped patient off at the ER? Never heard of it either so really grasping at straws.
