  1. Try the ancient art of getting needles jabbed in you. You know acupuncture. It does provide relief to many people. Might also check this group as they tend to lead the nation in helping people with back injuries. http://www.texasback.com/
  2. Whats that mean?
  3. Wow is get a life getting empty or what? HMM "I believe strongly in fire based EMS" Based on that statement I think I see a fight ummm a peaceful debate or two in the citys future. Welcome to the city where a good educational but respectful debate is always welcome. You should be fine as long as you decide I am always right.
  4. Glad you were willing to search, seems a lost art by many. This is an interesting topic. Actually had a partner that had a patient with a patient with it a few months ago. I did a search of site and did find a discussion but think it is worth looking more in depth at. http://www.emtcity.com/index.php/topic/4961-2020-thursday-night-broken-heart-syndrome/page__hl__Stress%20cardiomyopathy__fromsearch__1 Nice to see a site that has educational discussions isn't it.
  5. Hey Echo first missed seeing around here lately you young troublemaker. As to rolling CPR it is against AHA guidelines to do rolling codes anymore. No matter what position you attempt to take you will be getting bounced around and compressions will get interrupted. I'm sure some will give you their methods but really services need to start working codes on scene then pronounce them if no ROSC. Sorry not much help.
  6. Actually Bledsoes Paramedic is 11th grade level. The others are about 8th or 9th grade level.
  7. Why? The skills are taught on premises and actually are skill classes not just squeeze in a few minutes because lecture ended early. As to diploma mill, well actually the ones I have had dealings with could not be called that as they are tough programs and many sign up then quit because it was easier to go to a college course. Online is not for everyone, especially not for anyone looking for an easy diploma/certification.
  8. Actually they did not follow current AHA guidelines if the article is right. They should have worked patient on scene. If no ROSC call it there. It is time we quit putting ourselves and the public in harms way to rush dead people to the hospital.
  9. I think more of a first responder course would be better. They need more age and life experience before getting to work on an ambulance. As to online EMT/Paramedic it is a great ideal for the mature well organized person. Children should not be allowed that option.
  10. Dwayne I agree with you. With the glide scope you could teach a monkey to intubate. Why have a doctor do the watching? Of course some of this is going to be blamed on the lazy Paramedics that fail to intubate properly and worse fail to recognize it. Now as you mentioned having tel surgery brilliant.
  11. I have deleted the rude and offensive posts left by someone that is battling many mental demons.

  12. Your just jealous. Now back off.

  13. You've certainly extended a decent amount of time and energy to point out that splenac is a useless tool. While he is certainly a tool... there has to be a couple of uses for him yet. I've never known splenac to think too highly of his own wit, nor does he tell a lot of anecdotal stories. I fail to see how being a paramedic has anything to do with a person being self absorbed and opinionated. I am not a paramedic, and I am very self absorbed... not to mention that I fit the bill of raconteur far better than splenac! Since you obviously don't really care, Mr. Kevin Nobacon, about posting anything of consequence, and are clearly just trying to rile people up for your own perverted pleasure... maybe you should tone it down a bit. Either help us grow an on-line EMS community... or go annoy your friends and family with your trifling (and incorrect) observations. Besides... Splenac is MY pinata!
  14. Your welcome. At least I can spell.

  15. http://www.lasvegasnow.com/Global/category.asp?C=28259&autoStart=true&topVideoCatNo=default&clipId=4164612&flvUri=&thirdpartymrssurl= TV interviews cop and he is basically placing blame on the SUV by saying they have to pay attn for L&S. Idiot. If the light was red the ambulance should have stopped and made sure the intersection was clear before entering. If the light was red I hope the SUV family sues AMR and wins. Maybe money out of peoples pockets will slow them down. The few seconds saved blowing intersections does not save lives, it takes lives.
  16. L&S syndronme strikes again. When will people learn that we are should stop AT INTERSECTIONS AND MAKE SURE THAT THE PEOPLE WITH THE GREEN LIGHT ARE GOING TO ALLOW US TO PASS.
  17. You mean you don't exit the station with your eyes closed?
  18. What a delight to hear from you. I have never pretended to be what I am not. So I say don't be blue, One day maybe you will be better than a glob of snot.
  19. Are you my boss? If so 10 if no then????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
  20. My guess theres something there since the state suspended him.
  21. Bad attempt at a funny dude.
  22. Heres a discussion. http://www.emtcity.com/index.php/topic/11178-female-acting-drunk-check-diabetes-then-check-tampon/page__hl__tampon%20__fromsearch__1
  23. OK trying to think of defense for the fire chief. Perhaps patient is concerned that one of her breast implants have ruptured and that is what is making her sick so she asks him to see if he feels any difference?
  24. Vent I am aware of many hospitals that pay all renewals, CEU's etc for their nurses. So why should we in EMS not be allowed the same incentives? My service applies for education grants and we get most of our CEU's free under those grants.
