Overdose management - even if something you can not do. Then carry them with you and read them every free moment you get. Then quiz yourself by writing all the above by memory. Do this from day one and you will know your drugs. It is good practice to do this with every drug your service carrys even if you can not push them so you will be a better partner.

In 911 you don't get paid up front. Transfers require prepayment or preapproval of insurance, or even a set amount per contract per patient transported. So transfers get paid. 911 you can bill and if they pay they pay if not your stuck. As to filing based on 911 abuse laws hard to make that stick.

If I recall when we bought our life Pak 12's we were told 1 year for a busy service and maybe 2 for a slower service. The insulation deteriates and allows for more interference and even the fine wires can break while insulation remains intact. I am not sure where that is in writing though.

Driving time saved does not = lives saved.

Another thing to check was when was the last time the wires were replaced? They have a short life span. If you are getting it frequently might be time to replace the lead wires.

I would prefer no one drove lights and sirens. Is there any actuall proof that more lives are saved because of this dangerous action than lost in acidents caused by it?

Sometimes by shutting off the ambulance and killing the inverter, etc, so no power is on I have retaken and gotten a better quality. If not I have had to go with what I have. If they have other S/S to match then its probably still accurate to say MI. If not I would say can not rule out MI and treat as possible MI. I have no data as to how accurate the EKG is when you get that advisory. But one extra attempt does not delay transport by more than a minute and might give you more to work with.

Again start denying transport to those that don't need it, start talking to your medical director to get it implemented. Second hospital needs a triage nurse meet you and if patient does not need a bed move them to waiting room.

Triage nurse needs to triage non emergent patients to the waiting room. EMS needs to triage patients and say no when they are non emergent.
