But your earlier post judged them as being worthy to expose themselves only if they met a certain look :twisted: . And the judge that may come into play is the future prospective employer that does decide that it is inappropriate and does not hire. If someone poses nude they should do so for compensation or risk losing not only their clothes but also their livelyhood.

CBEMT your right only you know what went on. Vent you know we can not force treatment or transport just as in the hospital you can not force treatment. Yes you can try as CBEMT did to convince but some times you just have to accept the refusal and leave.

But if guilty I want him punished severly over and above what he did to the patient. There would have to be some law in place to maintain in a secure place all recordings. Whys age matter I am still scared when my mom raises her hand. I may be old and my mom much older but I still worry she would but a beat down on me if I did something like post a nude pic.

She implied that they were on when she said escape was impossible. But yes maybe the medic started to release the patient and then the patient attacked him. Or maybe he started acting weird and the medic decided to try and restrain but was to late and ended up fighting for his life.

I have had patients get loose from restraints. In a mental state such as coming out of seizure people have unusual strength plus they feel no pain and can dislocate bones to pull free. As soon as they start trying to get loose I would sedate but not all services allow that. If not allowed immediatly get backup on the way and get your partner in the back to help hold them down while restrain again.

Because any restraint can be broken. So her saying its impossible is a false opinion. She may be right that he assualted the patient but she should have only stated facts not opinion.

I agree she said she saw some events, that is fine report each hit you see. But the statement I left qouted is opinion. Many times restraints are not apllied correctly and removed. I have had people break handcuffs that are much tougher than the restraints we use in ambulances. She also expressed opinions on other points. Honestly she should have just said I saw him hit X # of times with right, left, elbow etc. She added a lot of speculation when you read many of her statements. He requested cops prior to her stopping. Did she just happen to open the door as he was finishing subdueing an attacking patient. She can't say she did not see the entire event. And again, the blood could have been spit out by the patient. Now she may be right. Maybe this Paramedic has a HX of over reacting to patients actions. Who knows, but I learned many years ago to only state what I saw not speculate or offer opinion.

We are very rural. At my primary station that sees less than 200 calls a year our tone to out the door is 90 seconds or less. We are paid to be here and we respond fast when they call. It is our responsibility to be there and be professional.

Yup they changed it and some students already using skill sheets they printed in Jan went in and failed bleeding control station as they said elevate. NREMT needs to be better about posting major changes and also should have a time frame where either sheet will work.

Ruff my main point was she did not see everything as she was driving. Secondly she stated her opinion like they were facts thus throwing her partner under the bus. If I witnessed what she did I could have answered with I saw him hit the patient. I also saw that the restraints were off the patient. If asked why the restraints were off honest answer was I don't know ask my partner as I did not see him or patient remove them. If asked if he used excessive force I would answer as I did not see the entire event I can not say. I am not going to lie to protect my partner but I am not going to add my opinion and wreck his life either. Now if he did beat a helpless patient then they should sedate him where he can't resist and allow the entire prison to have fun with him.

Sometimes in a violent situation you do not have time to get the drugs to knock them down.

I disagree with the statements from the driver. She says he had no reason. But she was not in the patient compartment. She does not see every second as she is driving. Yet then we find out restraints were off so patient gets violent, Paramedic trys to defend self possibly with minimum force needed and had requested police already so he had concerns for safety. Even the unreliable driver states that he requested police before beating patient. Why call the cops then beat patient? I think driver should have said I saw him hit patient but I am not aware of the events that led to it. She gave opinions that now could cost a person that did no wrong their freedom. But now if he actually just beat him to beat him hang him but lets get all the facts.

Umm wow lets hang him now based on news and the opinion of his partner who might have an axe to grind. I mean patient had seizure is coming out of it panics because of restraints. Pulls free from the restraints which can happen despite the drivers claims that it was impossible. Starts fighting the Paramedic. In defense paramedic does hit and subdue patient. Sorry but it could happen. Also all the blood much of it could have been from patient spitting the blood from mouth from where they bit their tongue and lips during seizure. Yes its possible he watches to much wrestling and decided to try a few moves on the patient but I will hold that judgement for now.
