Well recall that DR. Bledsoe is a DO and he seems to turn out OK. Actually best DR I ever had was a DO. Hey have you applied in Texas? Hope you the best. Keep us updated.
  4. Bravo. That should become the standard. I know way to many people that reactive to even small amounts of smoke so if they were in an ambulance with someone that recently smoked it could cause more harm. Honestly EMS needs to start setting the example regarding health issues.

    On a 48

Honestly each person finds out what works for them. If you are happy you will last. It sounds as if your service is to busy for long shifts. Becoming tired and frustrated may lead to burn out. In my case I work long shifts used to work 14-24's on 7-24's off for 2 years, but we averaged 2 calls a day or about 8 hours in the ambulance per day. So we got rest. That still started to take the joy away from me. Now I work at my full time job about 8,9 24's evey 28 days. If I decide I want to work I do 2 or 3 24's a month at my part time. I now have fun again as I still have plenty of time for me and my family.
  6. Yes to all if they say they do not want to go. You can not force someone to do what they do not want to do.
  7. Yall are sick puppys
  8. There are no for sures in football. For proof see last play of first half, "it was clear" that the cards were going to get a TD and we know how that turned out.
  9. Hey I predicted it while it was still 23-20 cards winning.
  10. Yes I was right I win.
  11. My prediction is Pitt 27 Cards 23.
  12. Maybe they move there 1 or 2 AEDs ambulance to ambulance as the inspector checks them making the inspector think they all have them. Might be worth calling the state for clarification of authorized BLS. Maybe they don't authorize all to carry. Not sure. Makes no sense not to require them. Heck even the schools have them now adays, surely an ambulance should.
  13. http://www.dsf.health.state.pa.us/health/l...sure_manual.pdf Lists AED for BLS ambulances as required equipment.
  14. Hey maybe you could post them here somehow? I am trying to get more comfortable reading EKGs, 12 leads and all. The more I get my hands on the more comfortable I am becoming.
  15. Fish in a barrel?
  16. I think more desk jobs are going to be dropped. Every recession the lower managers get demoted to fill open spots where the actual work is done.
  17.
  18. At my full time. Low cost of living starting pay basics now at $14, Intermediates $16.50, Paramedics almost $20. Plus you are in small rural communitys. Mostly 911 with a few emergency transfers. Only average about 2 calls per ambulance per day. Why waste time in the city?
  19. I predict the score will be 0-0 at kickoff. Az 31- Pitt 27 Big Ben throws 3 picks combined with 2 team fumbles = Pitt 5 turnovers
  20. I actually mainly use mine for the odd drug grandma hands me, so I know what it is. I will verify dosages on drugs that we do not administer very often. But I would say 99% OF WHAT WE DO IS DONE BASED ON EDUCATION BUT THERE IS NO SHAME WHEN THE 1% COMES UP TO OPEN THE BOOK. sorry hit cap lock
  21. Leave me alone. In my perfect dream world all are properly educated.
  22. Your full of it Crotch. I see Doctors that are much higher educated looking in books at the ER and at the office everyday. It is stupidity to think you will always recall accurately everything. Honestly medication errors could be almost completely eliminated if peole would double check dosages.
  23. So for all that claim if you deny transport to patients you will not get money. Well even when you do get reimbursed it is not enough to cover the expenses plus many times transports are denied so you actually get 0. So educate your patients by saying no when they can safely go by other means. http://www.texasemstravesty.com/tmhp/ambulance_study.php [web:7dff4bb2e0]http://www.texasemstravesty.com/tmhp/ambulance_study.php[/web:7dff4bb2e0]
  24. You trying to say I'm wrong? Actually makes sense that most lifers would also waste tax money fighting just as would a death row.
