That is stupid. Even doctors refer to books. There is no shame in double checking dosages etc. Actually probably lead to better patient care as less mistakes would be made.

That would be great as I have to get a code to complete my Paramedic clinicals. But I have a feeling some human rights group would think it was a bad idea.

Sadly death penalty is more expensive than life in prision under current method of doing things. Now if we immediatly took them out after being found guilty and carried out sentence would save money.

Texas requires an AED on all ambulances. It can be like the LP12 with AED built in or it can be stand alone AED.

We even have tried using the special cleaner,the type to remove decomp odor, to freshen rooms because one person that used to work with us would stink so bad. We even made a rule requiring showering while on duty. They still stank. Was just gross. :pukeright:

I would love a survey. Of course it would have to be weighted. In business it is said a happy customer tells one or two but an unhappy one complains to a hundred. Surveys are usually only returned a small percentage of the time. And the largest percent are those that get upset about one thing but as they are upset they downgrade everything. So with that in mind you would not discipline or make changes based on one survey. Now if one medic tended to get a whole lot of negatives compared to the others then action would be needed. Crotch number 7 needs to have added or were you denied transport? If so was it clearly explained to you why?

Texas has an emergency variance where you can only have 1 medical professional and just a driver. Sadly it is supposed to be temporary but many volunteer groups and some paid services use it to avoid doing what would solve their "shortage" that is pay a liveable wage. Almost every service where they have a "shortage" you can pull up that countys certified and you will find tons of people certified. They just are not willing to work free or for basically free.

Good answer. Do what needs done, correctly. If that means your at the hospital prior to getting all the toys played with tough. Again do not delay patient care just to get patient in the ambulance. Do whats best for the patient.

Could be both as you are bilking the patient finacially and you could be causing harm by delaying medical care.

I also think it is negilgence as you are with holding care in order to get a bigger payment.
