I am from Texas. Actually I am against them waking me up to just go draw blood. If we are on wreck scene and people are refusing then maybe but again medical directors will have to put a provision into protocols for us to do this. Just like when they made epi a requirement for all ambulances medical directors had to draw up a protocol if they did not already have one.

Well can you you really just open up for once and tell us how you really feel? I do think some children have disorders that can affect behavior and learning. But I am positive these labels are used way to often for kids that have not been disciplined enough. As to OP I hope the justice system is just trying a scared straight approach and will eventually drop these idiotic charges. Otherwise these kids will be ruined for life. They will have to register as sex offenders for all eternity. It will cost tax payers money for all eternity as these kids will never be able to be productive citizens. Heck it could force them into actual porn and prostitution to even survive.

A patient that can walk to the ambulance w/o further harm occurring in other words 90%+ patients should walk. Why should EMS providers keep getting injured carrying people that can safely walk?

1. You have a right to be treated and/or transported for emergent condition regardless of ability to pay. Regardless of how rich you are we will deny transport if non emergent.
