  1. With you off chocolate I can think of some other questions not to ask!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  2. Sorry as an old long time happily married man I have no clue. Be sure and use extreme caution about using the internet to find a new mate as some have been known to lie about themselves, even on this site  . Honestly if I were to ever re-enter the dating game I would run a criminal and credit check on anyone before getting involved. I would also require a complete medical check up, don't want any creepy crawlys or other problems. And a complete mental evaluation. Call this a stupid idea but why not ask admin to start an EMS love connection area?
  3. Just remember to make french toast.
  4. Man I hate when dead people talk. Scares me.
  5. Guess dispatch doesn't like the caller?
  6. Yup the glove don't fit. No it's not because I'm wearing another glove and have my hand contorted. Oh and since Texas is such a small state Tigger if you are my partner I am sorry.
  7. Ummm sorry Tigger I will try and drop my attitude. Please don't hurt me.  And ruff you get more time for improper use of medication than you do for justified homicide.
  8. The site I am talking about is shown on the design a distinct uniform discussion. I really think all EMS need to develope a style that is medical but sturdy. That way the public sees us and says hey there are the Pre hospital Medical Professionals. Right now the public is confused, they see us and say hey there are the fire fighters, the ambulance drivers, etc. We need to get where they see us they recognize us and respect us. Uniform is only a start. It will take much more.
  9. So do you think the top would hold up and look good in the field?
  10. You are thinking standard scrub. Quality scrubs are cut better.
  11. These would be nice scrub top with our EMS pants. Durable with a medical look.
  12. Actually I proposed that we wear EMS type pants with a high quality scrub top in the design a professional distinct uniform discussion. Someone had placed a link with a very nice scrub top in that discussion. Thus we combine durability for the field which honestly the pants are what takes most abuse and shirt should be covered if extricating. So this allows the public to see us as medical because as you say people see scrubs and think medical. I do not like class A B C etc as they look like cop uniforms. We are not cops. We do not need all those badges, patches, etc.
  13. I really never recall hearing anything good about SF EMS. Another place I do not visit.
  14. I will call the cops on anyone that chooses to abuse the 911 system. I sympathize with her problems but that does not justify abuse. I see every person as an individual. I treat or transport based on that patients actual needs, not preferences, especially a preference that for no real valid reason takes an ambulance from my community. I will not transport just to transport. I am making statements on what EMS needs to do to improve so that we can serve our communitys better and next to more education is quit allowing the public to use us as taxis. I agree we need to stop being BLS/ALS and just Pre Hospital Medical Professionals providing the actual care needed in the field based on each patient, and that includes saying no to those that can safely go by other means.
  15. Yup, and sadly that place is almost the least Texas place in Texas anymore. To many foreigners in it, especially yankees.
  16. Vent I resent that you would ever question my professional treatment and compassion for my patients. I know about the issues you bring up. If I do transport I do not complain, I treat professionally. I never neglect my patients. Despite all your attempts to make us out as backwoods, toothless, ignorant inbreds, some and actually many can and do have enough knowledge to properly say yes or no to ambulance transport. And yes most nursing home, dialysis, and even 911 calls do not really need an ambulance. You spoke of public education earlier, well the public has been educated that we are a free taxi by the you call we haul services. We need to re-educate the public to the fact that an ambulance is for emergencys not for a free ride. If a patient has just had dialysis honestly the center should observe them long enough to ensure they are not going to develope the electrolyte imbalance, etc. Vent I appreciate you positive input on many subjects but I am personally sick of you verbally treating us as if we were too stupid to wipe our own butts. I assure you my patients even those I deny transport to are treated properly and respectfully. I do not abuse or mistreat anyone. I educate patients as to when to dial 911, when to go to the ER, and even when to just wait to go to their family doctor. For anyone that doesn't agree, tough. I will not apologize for being a Pre-Hospital Medical Professional rather than an underpaid taxi driver.
  17. Glad to share experience to you youngsters.

  19. Bump as part of current discussion.
  20. Theres a first time for everything. And I hope your rich enough to feed and house the family of the person who ends up permanently disabled.
  21. I am not punishing anyone. I am making a professional medical decision based on real need. I refuse to be a taxi at the detriment of the greater number. I am the most caring provider you will meet but I also will not allow abuse. I attend county and city meetings demanding more funds. I educate the public as well. By saying no we educate patients that we are not the darn taxi. I refuse to take patients out of the way when they do not need it. Then my ambulance is available quicker for others that have a real need.
  22. But it sure warms the hands on a cold day.
