It's certainly not a cheap ride, however medicare/medicaid pay better for a flight and without question than they do an ambulance ride long distance. Also, what people fail to realize with the membership services is that it only covers you if they deem it neccessary, it doesn't cover you if another service transports you (if you're out of their service area sorry), and your insurance and the patient are still billed. If you have no insurance or it does not cover the entire amount, then it will only cover that. It does not cover insurance deductibles if they apply (ie you have to pay $5000 a year, then they cover so much) - they don't absorb the $5000 as well - you are responsible for that. Just something to think about with these membership companies, but $5000 is alot cheaper than $15000 plus !

Get good sleep the night before, don't have any added stress that morning (give yourself plenty of time), relax, get to know the place and do what you know how to do ! And just remember - the first one is blue - just like a certain team that wears blue is #1 (hehe). They're also marked on there. Relax, you'll do fine. Wishing you luck ! Let us know how it goes. -
So very true, only I can decide. Most days the answer is yes, which is why I still do, but some days I'm just a little ragged and I've stepped back to evaluate some things lately just to think. But in the end, I do still love it and doubt I'm going anywhere !

Just got my first hands on experience with it at CAP lab - seems like a sound enough principal and seemed to work reasonably well. Didn't really have much complaint, except you were forced to leave in place one you had the tube unless you want to remove connector and all. Short of that though, I liked just fine. Thanks for bringing this to the table ! Now will you please pass the SALT ?

Yeah, well we all had to come back to real life sometime ! Was great fun though. Just too bad you weren't below us, we could have jumped up and down and aggravated you all night

Definitely sounds a bit off to me as well considering most FD's require a pre employment physical and a back injury that was currently aggravated would be grounds for not hiring. However, perhaps I am misunderstanding and they worked EMS, got the injury, rehabbed and then joined fire ? Or got into volly fire and not active role? I'm hoping I'm just confused - it's too late for me to be trying to figure this out ! -
