  1. I think you guys are wasting your keystrokes. He left he his advertisement and will probably not be back. Great review Bieber. Hopefully you have saved a few people here their six bucks that can be better spent on EMT sticker from Galls.com for their POVs.
  2. I don't know about the litigation. If they signed a form stating that CPR was not allowed, they knew the consequences. From what I have read, the family seems fine with what happened. It sounds like some dispatcher got her nose tweaked and wants to make a case out of it. The only ones that should have brought this to the media should have been the family.
  3. I don't think so. Usually you have forms to fill out early in the class and the address you supply is the one they send it to.
  4. The voices are telling me to drink beer out of my socks.

I always wondered what people thought was going to happen when they purchased a house next to a race track, airport, etc. I once got the ambulance stuck in the dirt coming out of the last turn and had to red flag the race so we could get a tow truck out there. It wasn't one of my shinning moments.

You were there a few years before I was then. We did the standbys in the mid 90s. The whiny people around the area complained every weekend and we'd see Southampton Town PD roll in and give the head honchos the noise complaint ticket. It's a shame it got shut down eventually.
  7. I just checked the NYS EMS office website and they say 4-6 weeks. Maybe you should contact your CIC, they will get the results before you do or will be able to tell you who to contact.

Did you ever do corner work for the GP Pro (motorcycles)?

I've never been a big Jr fan. I always thought Sr. was a bit of a douche too but more because he gave up Kerry for adoption so he could continue to race. Guess we all have priorities. Great stories island, it must be pretty awesome to work the tracks. I used to do standbys for races out in Bridgehampton. Got to watch motorcycles, Porches and Land Rovers race.

I thought that might be pretty hot. Then I realized that if he had boobs but still had the mustache he would look like a great number of ER pts and he stopped being hot.

Hey, this is NASCAR, we don't talk about that Eurotrash. Now where's my beer and Jeff Foxworthy video tape?
  13. What do you mean it doesn't matter? Of course it does. When you put them on your feet cause them to form to the foot creating a right and a left. If you then switch them, that excess material that is supposed to be under the big toe starts to bunch up under the little toes.

I'll give her credit, she ran a good race. I'm just sick of the hype. She is an average driver who they are treating like the next Earnhardt. Her attitude when she first came over left a poor impression for me. It's one thing to have a big mouth if you can back it up (ie Kyle Bush) but when you shoot your mouth off like she did and your only win was due to lucky fuel mileage gamble, it just rubs me the wrong way. I'll give her a chance since I think last season humbled her a bit.
  15. When I got my certs it took 6-8 weeks, but that was in 1992, 1994 and 1997 so things may have changed. I know they were out of paper to print the cards for a while a few years ago, so who knows what the real answer is.

It's all good. We got Marcos Ambrose. Any chance we can send you Danica Patrick?
  17. No, no, those are the stupid people.
  18. The therapy didn't completely get rid of the voices, just changed them. They used to tell me what to do, now they just want advice or they want to let me know my life is about to get more difficult. They can be very needy.
  19. I used to hear those voices too. It took me 11 years of therapy, strangely called med school, before the voices stopped. Now, I have started to miss those voices.
  20. I would love to see EMS become more of a PA level curriculum. If it was brought up to that level I think the whole idea of community paramedic would be much more viable. I also think that many more pts can be treated and not transported or told they will need to find other transportation. As for all pts thinking they have an emergency when they call 911 or go to the ER, this is just not true. Many know it is not an emergency but don't care. They do it out of convenience. There are some that truly think they have an emergency (including the frequent fliers) but there are just as many that don't and when you have been in this field long enough you learn to recognize that. It should not change how you treat people. I treat people the way they treat me. If you show me respect and courtesy, I will bend over backwards and treat you the same. Treat me like a douche and I will do the same. I am not mean to people (even if they are), you'll get treated appropriately but don't expect a smile or anything extra.
  21. I can't give you any specific info about Baltimore but check out zillow.com for your house hunting needs.
  22. Don't say the "P" word. You will get Arctickat excited.
  23. I don't think we'll ever know since the OP seems to have disappeared.
  24. Does the pain change with position? Any recent illness (uri type symptoms, etc?)
