  1. we have 500 feet of tin foil for just this occasion. WE also have silver bullets for the vampires as well. This is a serious list. Please do not make this into a stupid fest.
  2. If you change from ATT and expect your old phone number to go with you and it doesn't just accept the fact that ATT won't give it to you and take the new number from your new phone provider. Save yourself the hassle that we went through and take the new number from your new provider. So if you want our new home phone number and if you aren't a pesky collection agency then PM me a request and we will do our vetting of you and we will determine if you really are who you say you are and determ...

  3. Ok, I've been watching this new show called Doomsday Preppers on National Geographic. It's gotten me to thinking and although I think most of those people are bat shit crazy and most are going way the hell overboard, many of them do have good points, except the pandemic moonbat crazy lady. So what do I need to have in my preparedness kit. I already know what I need in my medical kit, but what should I have ready to keep a family of 5 prepared for let's say 1 month of no city/state/federal services. This family of 5 would consist of this (current as of this post) 1 44 year old male 1 38 year old woman 1 9 year old boy 1 2 1/2 year old girl 1 4 month old girl Looking to build this up over the next 2-4 months. I'm not looking to spend thousands of dollars, I'm looking to be practical and sensible and be able to provide for the family when the grocery stores and other outlets are physically impossible to get to.
  4. Honestly, the best place for all these patients unless some of them are critical is where they are. Why bring a bunch of norovirus patients into a fresh breeding ground, mainly a hospital. Norovirus is pretty darned contagious and a hospital with it's already immunocompromised patients and many visitors who are immunocompromised but do not know it yet, can be a breeding ground of well you guessed it, contagion. you have a contained area of infection that can be easily contained and quarantined. Supplies can be brought in, additional public health staff can be brought in and can treat the sick and the nursing home is pretty much a city unto itself. Depending on how bad the outbreak is Nana may just have to be left at the home and treated there. But we don't live in a society where we will do anything like this so let's just take nana to the hospital and spread the infection.
  5. I have realized that I hate the Target commercial with the colorful dancers coming out of the hot air baloon and the song is the jaunty aloueta song.

  6. Yeah, I'm starting to worry about Kiwi. Kiwi, we've always been able to talk well to one another but your past several months of postings have really taken a turn for the bizarre and strange. Maybe it's the piss or maybe it's just you're posting style but you really are starting to make me wonder if you aren't just messing with the citizens of this fair city.
  7. I can actually walk to work tomorrow. It will take 2 minutes to drive or 8 minutes to drive. I'll let my facebook family decide.

  8. How do I get recruiters to stop calling?

  9. 135th or so time thru airport security with the same 4 ounce tube of toothpaste in my carry on bag without being qiestioned. So much for safety in the skies huh?

  10. Yeah, I think that after a couple of weeks or days this will blow over and things will calm down. I just keep wondering wwdd????
  11. Made the decision to give up my 3rd grade sunday school class and turn ito over to my assistant teacher. Told Liam thursday night. Will tell my students Sunday. Thanks Bobbi Leavitt for stepping up. Have been pouring out from an empty vessel. Need to be refilled. I am at peace with the decision.

  12. The worst that can happen is they code, I really really fail to see that humor. If they code something happened that you more than likely failed to catch. I wouldn't be surprised that you waited to see if your NEAT drugs did the trick. Had you not have waited to see if your neat drugs did the trick, you would have been all that much closer to the hospital and had something else in the pipeline waiting for you to try. Or were you just obtuse and you left out that part. You sound a tad bit dangerous. But since it's your first time here I don't know you from adam so I'll withhold judgement a little longer till I get to know you and your posting style here a little better.
  13. really I never gave it a second thought. I give everyone the benefit of the doubt until proven otherwise.
  14. that would have been pretty cool at the time. The project is slated to last till June 1. I want to get at least 1000 different stamps from at least 100 different countries. They can have post marks on them. I know that i can go to a hobby store and knock it out in one day but that makes the project worthless in my eyes and does nothing to give any value to my son. So any ideas from this group would be helpful. All your foreigners out there in EMTCity land, if you want to help by sending some foreign stamps, you can indeed help. PM me for info.
  15. I;ll bet not So does anyone collect stamps or coins. My son's cub scout project this year is collections. So we've decided coins or stamps. and if you collect stamps, where do you go to get your stamps. do you prefer circulated or uncirculated? or whatever they call them.
  16. Made a tough decision yesterday.

  17. And we have a winner
  18. plus if you fail the test Runswithneedles then come on down to my neck of the woods and you can take the test open book. Yep, we dummies need to take the test open book like. yes in my area we are dummer than 5th graders. Plus sometimes we just play ACLS jeopardy, oh wait, that went away when the old ACLS course coordinator retired but we still do the test open book. But if you do fail runswithneedles, I will personally come up to your parts, take the ACLS book and use it to beat the ACLS knowledge into your head and then make you take the test again and again over and over until you can answer the questions in your sleep.
  19. Hold the phone, 6 years to transition to the new system. Let's get real. I say give em 12 years. That should give even the laziest of the knuckle draggers enough time to transition.
  20. Look out, the grammar police are are on patrol. I'm just messin wit ya Mike!!!!
  21. ok, woman walking 11 miles across a frozen river to a town without snow pants nor snow shoes, her feet are frozen, she's been out for over 5 hours. hmmmmmm makes you wonder why they call them feetsicles

  22. What next, Paramedic Extraordinaire
  23. So the patient would have been delayed by a medic getting all his stuff out rather than the ER having all their stuff along with higher trained people than medics already there. and your medics were pissed. you did the right thing Richard. Piss on those medics. So why were the medics pissed? I"ll bet it was one of those awesome once in a lifetime calls that many medics never get to see wasn't it.
  24. Bad Kreamer, Bad Kreamer, Bad Bad Bad, you go to the corner and don't come out till you can spell supercallifragilisticexpialidocious 10 times without spell check.
  25. yep its HIPAA not Hippa my mistake but it's a mistake everyone makes. Good catch by the EMTCity HIPAA Police but now that we have that mistake caught and prosecuted for the millionth time, let's move on and call this scenario at least the Hipaa trial scenario area dead. Now on to the discipline area - the chief needs to look at whether he should or should not re-evaluate whether he should discipline this crew for anything that they did that night. I say that he should just let it go. If I was the crew and I was disciplined for any thing then I would be fighting it tooth and nail and if my shop is union, I'm calling my union rep and filing a grievance not today not tomorrow but yesterday if there is any way I can do that on the space time continuum. I did nothing wrong if it was me. But then again it's not me it's someone in Vermont or new hampshire. But I digress. Anywho, I think I'm done on this one.
