    Absolutely, cut with purpose. If the clothes don't have to come off????? DO NOT REMOVE THEM. Broken ankle, I'm not gonna take the shirt off unless it's a hot babe from victorias secret and then it better be in Vegas because my wife's gonna be super super pissed.

    I have yet to receive a response to this and I don't believe the investigator that I have talked to at the state of missouri has received any type of complaint or info on this other than my initial info on this. The info from my contact is that the State of missouri does not have a First responder test per se'. It's either a school test or a national registry exam. I'm sure that the EMS Captain does not have all the answers to the National registry first responder exam so either he's blowing smoke up these students asses or he has all the answers to the schools exams. Either or, he's still a rogue instructor who should not be teaching EVER, EVER EVER EVER again. My suspicions is that he's trying to make it seem to the students that he's like this paragod super uber rescuedude awesome teacher medic dude that he's not. My bat radar says that this EMS captain has the answers to his schools exam (he is the class teacher of course so he should have them) and that's the answers he sent them. Hopefully I will get the answers that I requested in the PM from yesterday and I can forward that to the state of missouri's investigator. I'll keep everyone posted as to the outcome of this.

    I once cut a Sturgis(sic) shirt off a biker who fubar'd himself on a wreck. He came back 3 months later wanting his shirt back. We told him that we kept it just in case he came back. He wasn't happy that we cut it off but we didn't cut through the design but up the seams. I also once cut through a gangsters shirt and again didn't go through his colors. He didn't come back for his shirt but his buddies did, they wanted to bury him in that shirt. It's all in respect. Don't cut through the bullet hole or knife hole. Plus do you know how much movement it causes to remove someone's shirt, coat and sweater in the ER if we don't do it on scene? Think of it this way. You have the patient not on a back board but on the ground many times. you are able to cut off the clothes and them put them on the board. Why not cut off the clothes, remove them and then put the patient on the board. Once they get to the ER they don't require several people to remove the clothing by pulling and tugging the clothes out from the patient and the board. With limited resources in the ER it can manipulate and jostle the patient. I know that there are also limited resources in the field but removing the clothing in the field makes the ED work easier. Just food for thought.

    You know what to do. What you need to do is follow the directions I laid out ot you in my PM. I will then take what you have sent me, and then use my contact at the Bureau of EMS in the state of Missouri to make sure the captain doesn't teach classes ever again. Of course this needs to be proven to be true and not just someone with an axe to grind. But I'm pretty sure that it's true.

    Ok, these assholes who think their crap don't stink haven't sat in the bathroom and smelled their shit. First thing to do is to take one afternoon and write down your experiences from each of your shifts with him. Be detailed. Then go to your this guy and tell him your concerns about what's been goin on. Give him an opportunity to clear the air. Tell him what your concerns are. If he doesn't satisfactorily explain why he's riding you so hard then tell him you will be going to your class coordinator. If he's as big an asshole as you say he is then he's not going to give you diddly in terms of a explanation. Explain to your coordinator that you aren't being led as you expect to be led and you want a different preceptor or whatever you have out there. remember to document each shift, if you don't write this stuff down, it didn't happen. The onus is on you to prove that you aren't getting taught the material that you need to be taught, it's not on them.

    Well, many people who have these types of headaches are so disabled by them that they cannot work. So drug testing for work is pretty much an out of the ordinary possibility so what's the harm in getting the relief. The company that I work for does not do drug testing, the clients that I work for and I've worked for over 25 clients over 13 years and only one client has required a pre-contract drug screen. So I can reasonably say that If I was suffering this badly from these types of headaches that I'd be pretty safe in taking this type of pain relief and I'd be pretty safe in not getting caught unless I got caught by law enforcement. I am indeed suffering from pretty bad chronic headaches but not to the extent of the original posters friend though. I wake up with the head aches, I get the headaches for no particular reason (to quote Forrest Gump) and they just go away for no particular reason (again to quote Gump). But I'm not to the point to take the lsd yet either. So if I was to the point of needing to get the relief from these types of headaches that I would try just about anything to get the relief a drug test would probably be the least of my concerns what with my current work concerns.
