  1. that could be said for homosexuals also, at least the ones out of the closet. I have many gay friends and they are pretty prideful of who they are.
  2. I really know the reason behind the user name is because the user name "IHATEFREAKINGMENbutIhatewomenmoreandalwayswill" was taken.
  3. I only know what the article said. I don't really know what the US parade agenda would be. Promoting straight lifestyles or whatever. Like I said, I only read the article just like you did (i think) and I really didn't see an agenda. The article was published in a Christian magazine so I'd assume the agenda could be that homosexuality is against God and they want to put out that there are options available in the Christian community. There will be all sorts of opinions on this but let's leave the religion argument out of it and focus on what the non-secular arguments or agenda would be. We all know the christian agenda on this. No need to rehash it again.
  4. I also don't participate in these because I think that it will just promote the anti gay rhetoric from all angles that has been going on for years. I don't need to flaunt my sexual orientation. But the argument that many will make is that if the gays get a gay pride parade then the straights get their own parade as well. Why would it be wrong to allow this? Why would it be wrong to prohibit this? This post is not to promote division here but to promote discussion. I'd love to hear Flaming's take on this?
  5. The article says it all. I can't add to it. I think that if they can have Gay Pride parades then the straights should be able to do the same. I'd be interested in opinions. And Remember this is being done in Brazil which I believe started the Gay Pride parade phenomenon. http://charismanews.com/world/32330-christian-support-divided-over-anti-gay-pride-parade
  6. I'm putting together a registry prep class online for one member of this site. I'm willing to offer the same to those of you who are getting ready to take their emt registry exam. I'll probably branch it out to medic next prep class as well but for now iit will be basic only. I will be putting a syllabus and schedule together over the next couple of days. If anyone wants to take advantage of this please respond here with an affirmative but PM Me with your email addresses so I can get the material to you. This will focus 50% on the registry test and the other 50% will focus on refreshing the chapters. If anyone wants to help me put this on such as take a chapter to go over or something like that please let me know as well. If anyone has material on a particular subject that they would be happy to share with this class I would be most grateful. This will NOT be a substitute for any CEU's, I do not have the resources to provide CEU's. Michael "Captain KICKASS" Ruff
  7. Just watched CNN news anchor grill the county commissioner about this policy. She used the word compassion and morality and all that. It also came out that 200 of the 900 homeowners in the county don't pay the membership. The couple who lost their home also knew about the fee but decided to not pay it. So instead of paying 75 per year they are paying 75 per night at the local hotel. Talk about cost benefit analysis gone wrong. Risk analysis at it's finest. Yeah but with insurance it cost us 100 bucks each time. The ambulance provider took a significant write off like most providers do when they accept insurance. So in essence it really didn't cost 3800 for the full ride, it was more like 1100. But I can imagine that someone who paid cash for the bill would have been stuck with the 3800. Thank goodness for insurance
  8. Short answer on mainlining, unless you are a heroin addict, you just don't do it and if you do just grab your ankles and bend over and hold on, it's going to be a bumpy ride.
  9. Just a number I threw out. My wifes ambulance bill for her car wreck was 1800 and all they did was put a collar, backboard, saline lock and pulse ox/oxygen. 1994 costs My wifes ambulance bill for the pregnancy was 3600, IV, monitor, some meds, oxygen, mileage, pulse ox, 12 lead. this was in 2009 dollars
  10. NO the fire department won't take payment at the time of the fire because that would possibly prompt a number of people to stop paying the membership and just take their chances and then when catastrophy happens, they just pay up at the time of the fire. That takes money out of the fire department's hands that they should be able to use on a yearly basis. Think of it this way, the fire department starts to take payments on occurrence of the fire. People stop paying yearly dues which decreases the revenue the fire department has to buy equipment. So they have a decrease in revenue so they have to put off buying that extra equipment because people now just pay at time of fire. If you drive down the county roads in my county you see hundreds of red square signs with numbers on them. Those are the fire department member signs. About 90% of the county home owners and business owners pay dues. Those who don't, don't get protection. On the road my mother in law lives on every house mailbox post has a sign. The odd naked post is very visible and stands out like a sore thumb. Why should the fire department be forced to save someone's home if that homeowner didn't care enough to pay the membership fee. The fire department didn't make that choice for the homeowner, that decision responsibility lies strictly on the homeowner. Plus, having the homeowner foot the cost of the entire response, that's an option but most homeowners I know who are on a budget don't have an emergency fund for that type of situation. Plus the fire departments would want the fee up front. A truly suckage situation if you ask me. rolling it into your taxes is a viable choice but I'm not sure it that's the answer. But my town I live in has it in our property taxes so it wouldn't be that hard to do I guess. I haven't needed the fire department or ambulance yet this year so that 249.00 that I pay each year(I think that's the number) is it wasted money? I don't think so when any time I need the ambulance it's covered and I don't pay anything above what my insurance doesn't pay. So if I suffer a heart attack, and have a 10K ambulance bill, my insurance will not cover all of it but my taxes pay for the ambulance service to provide service so I don't see a bill. My wife didn't see a bill when she needed the ambulance.
  11. Tru dat Ch I know that as a relationship expands and becomes more intimate it is logical and just plain freaking fun to expand the sexual expression repertoire(sic) in the bedroom. There is a reason why the porn industry and the vibrator/sex enhancement industry makes more money than the NFL, NBA, MLB and NHL combined each year.
  12. bangin his partner, not a crew member was sleeping because they were so noisy NO NO NO wait, that's not right.
  13. Dwayne, if that county is anything like my county, you get the notice in your property taxes and also your utility bills on a once a year basis. The Volunteer fire department also sends out periodic mailings as well as when they know of a new person moving in, they go out to their house and tell them about the "insurance". If the family chooses to buy it, then all is good. If they don't then that their risk to take and their problem. Simple as that.
  14. Not going there with a 10 foot pole but the question could be reversed, if lesbians use male parts for pleasure then the corrolary should be true that gay men would use female parts(manufactured) for pleasure as well. and then does that make them truly gay or just playing the role. I mean if a lesbian is using a male part to get off then does that mean they are only partly gay?
  15. Rad is a pussy, Jake is an asshole. why CM is letting this get to her is just beyond me. The ultimate payback was the failure of these assholes school. the ultimate victim in this is Vin not CM or jake or Rad. It sure sounds like CM has some pretty strong feelings for Vin because of all the help that she gave him. I'd tell CM to just let it drop and realize that CM was the better person in all this.
  16. And if the homeowner knows about the fee and refuses to pay for it or forgets to pay it then well too bad so sad. For something as important as the fire department and if there is a certain fee in my area (there isn't) then I make the conscious decision to do one of two things. 1. pay for the fee - my property is covered 2. don't pay the fee thus my property is not covered. I feel sorry for them because they lost their house but to blame the fire department as the article seemed to do is wrong. It's the homeowner's fault. Besides, in the county I used to work at, by the time the fire guys got out of their comfy home beds, got to the fire house, then started the truck and drove to the scene that trailer would have been the newest inground swimming pool in Henry county. Average response time into the county is about 15 minutes on a good day. By the time they get there it most likely for a trailer would be a exercise in futility.
  17. The way it works in my county is that those outside of the city pay a membership. They get a placard that they are supposed to put on their mailbox. When the fire call comes in, the fire department looks the address up and determines if there is a membership or not. If no membership They roll the rural fire truck only if there is reported person trapped or injuries or other houses with memberships are in the immediate vicinity. If the call doesn't meet that criteria they do respond unless the fire department is certain that there is no membership paid. But if no membership, they don't pour a ounce of water on the fire. Does it piss the homeowner off? absolutely and to high heaven The notice is sent out to all homeowners in their property tax statements. So anyone who owns a home or business will get the notice. It's up to them to pay the bill. They can't say that they didn't get a notice.
  18. Try this https://www.google.com/#hl=en&sa=X&ei=1sbeTpO9MMPO2wWO0qmrBQ&ved=0CCUQBSgA&q=hemostyptic+and+anticoagulants&spell=1&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.r_cp.,cf.osb&fp=cd745cb8d1c06a57&biw=1366&bih=599
  19. Yeah, they showed up to protect life and members property. You live in the county. You more than likely know that they ahve a fee for service membership and yet you didn't pay. If you don't pay you don't get service. No different with life insurance and other things. You don't pay then don't expect to get the service when you need it.
  20. No If I was a typical gen x-er I'd be expecting something for nothing. So what do we call the OWS generation? Generation "give me it all for free"?
  21. I think we discussed this in a thread before. But you would have thought that after the last incident people would pay the 75 bucks. But I do not agree with the fire departments assertion that they don't take payments at the time of the fire. That's just plain fricked up. With the bad press this fire department and county are getting it might be time to float a tax that would support the fire department throughout the county. OR put a LIfetime membership out there.
  22. The 3:30 exodus from the office has begun.

  23. I'm actually a social libertarian with leftist and marxist leanings with a smattering of conservative, tea party ideals coupled with an Occupy Wall street mentality with just a touch of comunistic and leninistic foolish idealistic crusading washed down with a healthy dose of Who the fuck cares.
  24. so how do I get one of your patches?
  25. I love this debate. I have not the time right now to answer all your items but I will agree with you, I am happy to pay what I'm paying. I think we basically agree on things but are looking at it from two different directions. I am for limited government and am not planning on voting one single party line. The current group of legislators as well as president have made me quite angry and I don't know who to vote for yet but I guarantee I will vote for the candidates who fall most in line with my belief structure. I would say I'm more of a conservative libertarian but I don't fall in line with all of what they believe. So why don't we meet somewhere in the middle between our two cities and have those beers. I now have enough frequent flier points on Delta to get anywhere in the world now.
