When you put in the horse exposure that morning I was leaning towards equine passed Anthrax which had she have had pustules on her hands then that would have cinched the diagnosis but my original allergic rxn choice was right. take care.

Mobey, does she have any pustules or lesions on her hands?

ok What do the welts look like? Are they pustule like in appearance? If so I'm going to go down a very bad and serious road with this one. If they appear to just be welts then I'll be going down the road of allergic reaction and treat accordingly with IV benadryl, SQ EPI 1:1000 and high flow O2. Preparing for intubation is needed but we might be able to stave off a tube if we give her enough pharmacological interventions.

oh I didn't read all the response I know you said no chemical exposure but....... Did someone just clean or recently cleaned the bathroom? Might they have used bleach and ammonia in the shower at that time? If so, might the water have activated the residual chemicals and she be having problems with that. Some people don't think that cleaning solutions are chemicals. just a thought.

ok, multiple mosquito bites? How many? What are her lung sounds like? pqrst sample avpu pulse ox? Cardiac mon vitals?

ok the usual questions that are always asked Let's ask other not so obvious questions 1. Any history recent of bee sting or insect bite? 2. Chemical exposure 3. Was she doing anything strenuous prior to the onset like strenuous coughing or did she get hit by something to cause a pneumo?

ok so he/she owsns a house at 23. Just got a job at a local hospital. Does anyone else see anything wierd about this? Can't get a loan because they expect him to pay 280 per month yet he/she owns a house? I see a lot wrong with this....... ok this kid is really really sick. I'd consider air transport to the local pediatric center which is capable of handling cardiac. That EKG looks really bad and is probably indicitive of an undiagnosed cardiac abnormality that's gonna kill him if he doesn't get to the right place at the right time. I'd be ready for this kid to code on you so be ready. I am leaning towards organophosphate poisoning due to some reasearch I did a few months back where it can cause significant cardiac effects and prolonging of the Qt interval and other adverse effects. Any possibility that someone just sprayed some chemical on the grass outside? Are the other kids complaining of any issues?

ok, why are we quoting usaf when some of the quotes ahve come from ditch doc? I might be the only one confused though. I just re-read the entire thread and USAF-the punisher has not made a single post here on this thread. All the quotes that ended up being used to foster the negative harsh replies were Ditch Doctors quotes.

just like the supplies in the back of the unit are from many different companies, so can the ambulance itself. customize away just make sure that it actually runs
