Maybe I was not clear Anthony, I'm all for doing the recycling and all that but when and if WHEN they start to require us to really conform to the suggestions of global warming advocates which have yet to materialize but if a certain political party gets in office the requirements will come, I have an issue with it. When the biggest global warming advocate of all has a huge carbon footprint and is asking us to tighten our belts and make changes yet doesn't demonstrate the willingness to do it too that's when I get a little miffed. I'm not knocking him for being rich and having a large carbon footprint, if I was that rich I'd probably have a big carbon footprint but until those advocates who have these huge energy consumption and fly on private jets and the like start to slim down then I'll do my part but don't tell me I'm not doing my part. I agree the gw (that's global warming not George w) is a problem but I'm not convinced that it's all man made. I'm not even convinced that it's truly a problem. There are charts produced by the other side (the convenient truth side) that disprove much of what Mr. Gore was saying in his movie. Even the previous director of the WEather channel has come out strongly against global warming saying that it's just not happening like the proponents of GW are saying it's happening.

well there is that. you get a bunch of flames, some red and yellow lights and a lot of emergency vehicles and people just go blind. If the fireman was wearing bright orange instead of Yellow maybe that might have made a difference.

Another very true statement Anthony but I'm not going to radically change my lifestyle which could cost me mega bucks to fall into the lines of what some global warming advocates say we should do. I can recycle cans, paper and other stuff. I can get a hybrid (which will be the next car I get) I can drive less and burn less electricity but when having to conform eats into my standard of living I'm going to have to draw the line at that.

that's a good point Anthony. I agree somewhat but I don't agree with those who say that Man is the chief cause of it.

my instructor had a couple of good friends with let's just say some less than honorable intentions for the community. I met them as well as a few other more unsavory people. Always with my instructor in tow to lend credence to the paper's origen. As a matter of fact, my instructor singled me out to write this particular topic. Other students were given other topics. Needless to say I had input from mafia members, input from federal and local prosecutors and input from Federal judges overseeing racketeering trials. 150 pages with references took me the entire semester to write. I still have it somewhere at my parents house.

Actually quotes do indeed belong in a patient care report. Case in point, I had a patient who was lucid after a assault. The patient told me that Joe Blow(name changed to protect the guilty) stabbed them with a 4 inch buck knife. The patient proceeded to code and he died. If you eliminate quotes or statements from the victim or patient you may preclude valuable evidence in a criminal case. You sometimes are the only one with the patient and what they say may help their attacker, their rapist, their murderer get what's coming to them or your apathy and refusal to document something the patient said may result in a no-prosecution of the above scum bag. It may also help put a child beater or molester away because a child who tells you something about what happened to him might just might get the molester or predator off the street. Quotes belong on the report no matter who of what race, creed or sexual orientation it makes mad. If the patient said it to you then you better document it. NO paraphrasing or what not, the quote itself. I put what he told me in my report as quotes. There were no other witnesses to this assault. The patient also told the police this information. I included it in my patient care report and they used my report and the report of the officer to convict the guy of 2nd degree murder. So yes, quotes of what a patient tells you do indeed belong in a report.

But guys wait a second and give her the benefit of the doubt. She does have 5 years of EMT Experience. She also knows shock when she sees it. Now that's pretty impressive credentials don't ya think? You know, to digress, but I got my son a rock polisher for his birthday. It polishes 3 pounds of rocks at a time. I'm sure that she's smarter than a box of rocks but maybe she's not smarter than a tumbler full of rocks. Or the other thing she might be able to claim is "I'm not smarter than a 5th grader" Who knows.

frankly, no it would make no difference at all if you ask me. The older guy is responsible for his actions irrespective of his position in the community. I'm no less responsible for my actions if I'm president or if I'm joe blow on the street. Our actions have consequences regardless of your station in life. All I was saying is that this guy was not molesting her at least we don't have the proof but if she's of the age of consent and she's old enough to know right from wrong, then It's not illegal. We don't know if they are sexually active or not but if they are then shame on him and her. Now if she was a bit younger then yes, I'd be in a tizzy as should the community but I don't really have to worry bout this because he's not in my community. One other thing before I get on my plane. Where are this girls parents? But since they supposedly got engaged then that's a whole nother story. I had a cushy standby that I got paid separately from my paycheck. Worked the Allis Chambers farm expo near Independence mO. I got paid hourly from my company yet the organizers also paid me. Made over 500 bucks for two days of standby and I had 0 patients. did it again the following year for 4 days and made 1200. The company said that what they paid me extra was money in my bank. SWEET
