    sounds like a bad deal all around but I think you could make a case if you got a lawyer and all that. I guess that you could request a trial by jury which we are all allowed even with a traffic ticket. Get enough sympathetic jurors you might just beat it.

    I agree with dust, even 10 minutes of 10/10 or 9/10 pain is unbearable. I recently had a migraine that knocked me down for 2 days. I toughed it out but it was horrible. having some type of pain control methods is a godsend to patients. I've given dilaudid, morphine, nubain, stadol, demerol and countless others. The best pain releif I've seen has been with Dilaudid.

    I only know of one person who fits that bill and I've lost track of him ever since he decided to find his Center. He moved to southern New Mexico on some land there. Said he was gonna grow some type of herb and just chill. It helps that he was very independently wealthy.

    I agree wholeheartedly but then again, I'm not there on site and having to deal with the emotions of the families. Tough call all around.

    One service I worked at due to people working many many over time hours and several getting in wrecks both in and out of company vehicles, a mandatory minimum of 8 hours between shifts was instituted. diminished the number of accidents.

    wow organic chemistry to take an EMT class? that's mind boggling. I can't remember one thing that organic chemistry helped me out with in EMT school. in all reality you learn three major things in emt school 1. blood goes round and round 2. air goes in and out 3. if you drop the baby pick it up.     good luck. be prepared for Dust to call you on the volunteer thing though. I'd do a couple of ride alongs first to see if you are even gonna like it. There is an old saying that ems is 99 percent pure boredom and 1 percent sheer terror.

    I think that if you are required to wear a uniform that the company should pay for it and that said, my company I used to work for bought the cheap scrubs. I ended up paying for good outerwear for protection.

    i like the 50 bucks per call bonus you get. that's a neat benefit to get for your certification.

    how bout bright pink? I don't like scrubs, did that at one time, no protection from the elements and stuff. You need fabric that is a little thicker than paper.
