  4. Hi there, I just stumbled upon this thread. Although I do appreciate everyone's passion about EMT City, we have never condoned or allowed the bashing of other sites. The internet is large, and there is room for everyone. Thanks!
  5. I would like to wish AK all the luck with his new venture and will welcome him back anytime. AK has been a great supporter here, and his decision to leave will be felt for some time to come. He has been with this site for as long as I can remember and has stuck in there through the good and bad times here. Good luck AK, and thank you very much for all of your support though the years.

Among many provisions, Section 4207 of the law amends the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) of 1938 (29 U.S. Code 207) to require an employer to provide reasonable break time for an employee to express breast milk for her nursing child for one year after the child's birth each time such employee has need to express milk. The employer is not required to compensate an employee receiving reasonable break time for any work time spent for such purpose. The employer must also provide a place, other than a bathroom, for the employee to express breast milk. If these requirements impose undue hardship, an employer that employs fewer than 50 employees is not subject to these requirements. The federal requirements shall not preempt a state law that provides greater protections to employees."

  11. It is the amount of "reps" that have been given to you by other members. It is a way for members to let each other know who is providing really good posts. Members are encouraged to click the green up arrow in a post if they feel that it was a quality post. If you want to see who gave up arrows, and down arrows, you need to be a sponsoring member. Sponsoring members can also give down reps. (To get sponsorship status, just click on "store" in the menu bar.)

  13. Yes. Save a file in the Dropbox folder on your computer and it puts a copy in the cloud and a copy on every computer that you have Dropbox installed on. Works on iPhone and droid also. Instant backup of files and syncing of files across multiple machines.

  15. I disagree. This site is filled with professionals that can help people find the answers they need. We should encourage people to ask questions and they should be answered appropriately. To simply tell them to "Google it" is counterproductive to the growth of the site and makes the person asking the question not want to return. We are a resource. We should provide information and in doing so we invite them to come back to participate in discussions and in time they will be the person answering questions. If we do that enough times, we will be the place new faces and talents go to when other sites tell them to "Google it", because we will be the site Google refers them to. -Admin

  20. I believe it only works when you start the topic. At the top of the page there is a "Follow this Topic" button. That should get you the notifications you are looking for.
  21. I have lowered the security level a little. Let me know if it pops up again. It is a new system to try to prevent our little friends from coming in posting spam.
