  1. We review each post report. We don't delete things because they hurt someones feelings, but if they do violate the rules, we will delete or modify it. The job of moderating is not easy. If we lock everything down that someone feels objectionable, then we drive people away. If we leave everything unmoderated, we drive people away. Finding a mix, with the goal of moving our profession forward is our focus. FYI: The new report feature has the ability for you to explain why you are reporting it to give us some guidance.
  2. Hmm.... http://www.emtcity.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=10273 And all the other stuff that you guys do not see behind the scene. Lets clarify one other thing. Neither AK or I can read every post as there is often 200-300 new posts a day here. If you find something that does not comply with the rules of the site, hit the report button. This goes back to the premise of this thread, "do something". You guys police yourselves. You also have the option to reply with a well thought out rebuttal to what you see. Not everything here is going to be shiny and PC. Progress will never be made if we put everything through the washing machine so it is watered down and agreeable to everyone. Progress is made through great debates, education and action. Take a look back and see what you did to move things forward. We have a great site here and the members can take all the credit. People that are in a position to make great changes visit here too. Want to meet them? [spoil:6f29d6784b][/spoil:6f29d6784b]
  3. This is not going to turn into a volly conversation.
  4. I missed the part in the vid how she was claiming to be a trauma pt to sue. Perhaps they edited it.
  5. All "grammar police" posts were deleted as Anthony already addressed the issue.
  6. Since everyone is so pumped up on reading and writing... visit the site rules and read the little ditty about moderating, hijacking threads, posting sarcastic comments and a bunch of other things. Let the moderators do the moderating. If you want to help someone with their spelling, PM them. Yes spelling is important, but hijacking a tread to prove you power over the lexicon is not. This thread is locked.
  7. We have a virtual patch collection here you can add to: http://www.emtcity.com/phpBB2/album_cat.php?cat_id=10
  8. MOVED TO CORRECT AREA. THIS IS A SCENARIO AND SHOULD HAVE BEEN PLACED IN THAT AREA. PLEASE POST IN THE CORRECT AREA.
  9. As of right now it will still be the 1 in 10 audit process.
  10. Just attended a conference where Bill Brown spoke of the upcoming things the Registry will be doing such as tracking CEU's, changing the EMT renewal date in 2009 to October and the ability to complete the entire re-certification process online.
  11. If I am understanding you correctly, you will keep track of your continuing education credits and then submit them when you re-certify. In the future, the NREMT claims that will have a system in place where you can input your con-ed into their database using your account to make re-certification quicker.
  12. I just checked and one of the quizzes had 0 answers put into it so there were no right answers. I have fixed it. The quizzes here DO show you which ones you got wrong and the correct answer.

  14. Hi Rid, The newest version of the software was installed quite a bit ago. It seems to be stable. It is not heavily advertised on the front page so it does not see a lot of action. It would be great if we could get that resource going again. Admin
  15. OK.. I admit that people moderating on my behalf is not the way it should go, but they are protective of their home. OK.. Banned
  16. Excellent point! I agree that being positive with the new guys until they prove themselves, after time and guidance, to be boneheads.
  17. I can edit posts on special request after the time limit if the original poster requests it.
  18. All 12 posts regarding the spelling issue have been removed. The posts had nothing to do with the topic thus you are hijacking the topic. Also, hit the post report button if you think that it is serious enough to warrant it. Let us do the moderating. All posts below this one must be about the original at hand. All others will be deleted. AK saves forums....Admin Saves AK....
  19. This is the BLS care topic. If you are bls, and that is part of your care regiment, then this is the area for it. Sorry dust.
  20. I will allow the original post to continue. http://www.emtcity.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.ph...&highlight=
  21. It is the dialog that makes change and educates. If you don't participate, and bring other points of view to the table, then you go unheard. Try not confuse bashing with the feelings that get stirred up when someone posts something you do not agree with. Take those feelings and come up with a well thought out rebuttal. "Bashing" should be reported to the mods using the report button. I wish everyone well. Admin
  22. Careful consideration was taken on what to do with the facts that were presented to me about somedic. AK did advise me of all the facts that he has, many which are not posted and I made the decision to allow him to post what he did. Our profession struggles as it is and we do not need individuals lying and mis-representing themselves within our profession. I am sure it is rampant not only in our little internet EMS community, but in our profession as a whole. I feel an obligation to make the offenders public rather than hide them to reemphasize the fact that this is unacceptable conduct and we as a profession cannot, and will not tolerate it. I am now locking this thread. Take care. Admin
  23. Yep.. take it to the blogs or PM's. And.... everyone... please read the rules before posting.
  24. Also watch for hijacked topics. The glove holder.. remember?
