Some appreciate my musky scent. Give them a shot of preflight Dilaudid and they'll never notice. (feeble attempt at staying on topic.)
  2. Yes Richard, I'm a Trekkologist too. I was just making note that the compound actually exists.

He'd just eat it. He could take lessons from a bat, bats are blind and still eat well.

I figured it would just be temporary. Your concern for the environment is admirable.

Just feed it some rot gut and give me a call. I'll pick you up and send the blinded bear back into the woods.

  8. I can't edit my post, but I should have included the titles so no one downloaded something they have no interest in. Week 1 - Ethical Issues Facing Healthcare - I used the example of a Catholic Hospital refusing to conduct tubal ligations. Week 2 - Code of Ethics Analysis - Canadian Nursing Assoc. Week 3 - Research and Ethics Conflict - I discussed a phama corporation and human trial drug testing Week 4 - Assisted Suicide

Chuckle. Now that sounds like an excellent plan. I just couldn't resist taking the piss.

How can you send me some dilaudid if you're out until the end of August? huh? Are you keeping some for yourself too?

So, you're also taking pleasure in denying a drug addict that which he is addicted to? That is beyond cruel. These people need the benefit of a little dilaudid to get them through those dry spells when they can't get in touch with their drug dealers, You know, mainstream pharma isn't the only organisation suffering a drug shortage. It's getting harder and harder to find the stuff on the street. That's why someone goes out and concocts a new drug out of whatever is under the kitchen sink. I don't know about you, but I'd far prefer a run of the mill dilaudid overdose over the new brew that is the fad of the day. Give the guy what he wants and you won't have to treat him later for whatever poisons he's taken tonight.

I am disgusted with the pleasure you are taking in being unable to relieve the pain and torment your patient is in. You are supposed to be an advocate for your patient and do your best by him. Dancing a little dance because you no longer have to treat your patient appropriately is unprofessional, selfish, and cruel. Instead, you should be trying to find alternatives to care for the needs of your client.
  15. These are my assignments from the ethics class I took during my BScH. I got a 4.00 on the class I'm not too sure how ethical it is for me to share them with you, I suppose they aren't specific to EMS, but I hope they're helpful.

  18. I got excited when I first heard of Hemopure a few years ago, I lost thousands when I invested heavily into that new miracle product. I'll wait to see what the FDA has to say about this new stuff.

  20. I don't see where it says he was yelling at her. I can tell off my kid without yelling. Then again, there are a few colloquialisms in there that I don't understand. "Cutting him up" or "ticking her off" have meanings to me that just don't fit the context. Sometimes I see things that make me wish we had the authority to cite traffic violations, but then I think about all the whackers we have in this profession and realise it's a bad idea.
  21. Isn't part of our job description to try to prevent accidents from occurring in the first place? Prevention is supposed to be at the top of our list. If this woman was driving recklessly and putting others at risk, then he's just doing his civic duty and saving lives from her disregard.
  22. DON'T MOVE THE VICTIM!!!!!!

  24. I prefer cold weather over hot weather, give me -30 anytime. I can layer on more clothes or use hot paws on my body and any other multitude of ideas to keep warm....but in the heat I can only take off so many clothes before I get arrested.
  25. Have you ever been to Auz or NZ during July or August? A light jacket and gloves would suffice unless you're up in the mountains.
