  1. The weird part is i envy you a little.
  2. As funding begins to dwindle more and more local goverment agencies will be looking at new ways to increase budgets. This will by no means be the last we see of this type of incident.
  3. negatives is the new black
  4. We had better stay vigilant about terrorism because they are still out there and they have been studying us the whole time and when the are ready they will definitely attack.
  5. I earned the negative rating it is not linked to this post but rather me. It wasnt easy to get this rating it required alot of effort and I get really upset when someone agrees with me and gives me a positive rating which ruins the whole thing. I was at -21 just a few days ago and 3 rude dogs went and ruined it by giving me positive feedback. As far as cheating on anything the old saying that 'your only cheating yourself' is true, education uses testing to measure whether the approved subject matter has been presented well and that the students have retained it to a level considered acceptable to the governing body in charge of the discipline studied. It is not the end all of the curriculum just a tool to measure teaching skills and student retention. When students fail a course the person at fault is not only the student but the teacher. If you teach a course and your students do the bare minimum or cheat to get by you either did not impress upon the students the importance of your course or did not weed out the students that were not suited for your course.
  6. I dont think I can improve on the opinions expressed here on cheating on tests. What I would coment on is that to many Emergencey responders take ICS as a joke. NIMS is a management technique very similar to systems used to manage big corporations. ICS got its start with FIRESCOPE after California got tired of killing off people with bad management practices. It is know adopted in whole in 19 states and in part in many more. To many managers see this as a invasion of there sovereign domain and will only give it lip service or blatantly ignore it. Did I mention it was mandated by presidential executive order. Any agencies not complying is not eligible for federal funding. Having a common command structure so that we can all work from the same sheet of music can unquestionably be of great help for the next "Katrina" or "911".
  7. Thats sick. I like it
  8. Dont let them bother you some folks just like to spank there monkey
  9. nuclear explosion?
  10. Your wish is granted in numerous states
  11. sounds like a power plant explosion knocked out all electronically controlled devices. Hope your shoes are comfy.
  12. OK first contact your dispatch by radio and notify them of the general location of the explosion. 2nd assuming you are subsequently the senior person on duty and you are dispatched to the incident request a call up of all off duty personnel to stage at your station. 3rd send the rescue truck to the incident with a all risk approach until the scene is sized up to potential hazards.stage all other resources 500 yrds away upwind until scene safety can be determined. Whats next.
  13. yup I chew and we all quit chewing or smoking eventually.
  14. You leave the lights on?
  15. And if I could get layed at the hospital as much as Grays Anatomy I would have been a doctor
  16. People watch professional wrestling and cheer them on, the watch House, Greys Anatomy, etc. and will discuss the actions of the lead characters later as if they new them. Lets not forget Third Watch and Rescue Me. If you take any of these or the other mental drool serious I would stay away from the Cartoon Network you might hurt your self. It's just TV folks.
  17. Wow Phil I am humbly surprised at your response always figured you as a medic or bust guy. My apologies. So to be weird I agree with your statement that medics are not always needed but at the same time their like a gun. Sure you might never need one but when you do you want it handy and ready to go. As for the original poster my thoughts are how would your actions best serve the public.
  18. how about a two hand release method if the patient was not aware of it it would reduce the chance he could get it off quickly and you still could manage it fairly fast if need should arise.
  19. In our area the use of handcuffs requires the LEO remain with the patient and until recently the use of soft restraints was firmly discouraged. Chemical restraints just ticks the medics off cause 'they got to come all the way out here for this crap'. Honestly I like the psych patients they are interesting.
  20. musta saw the bill
  21. sorry crotch they want the fires to go out not die of boredom
  22. And were might I ask is the statistical data to prove that EMS services are diminished by fire department participation?
  23. the call is not concluded until you are satisfied that it has been proven false. If you have to make entry I suggest using mechanical assistance like a k-tool or some other less destructive method then a size 12 extrication tool. Also having law or fire respond gives you a witness encase some thing goes missing.
  24. your a thoroughly sick individual I like that quality it suits you
