I think that the tragedy of this entire situation was the patient, and what she had to deal with. It was beyond unfair, and wrong that the cop could not have followed the ambulance to the hospital to do what he needed to do. Right or wrong, everyone involved should have had that patient as priority one. She did not need to witness a throw down between a LEO and the Paramedic trying to provide her with care. If the Paramedic was at fault, it could have been dealt with after she was at the hospital. Maybe that is just too simple, and I am not seeing the bigger picture. But, when I heard that poor woman screaming during the exchange, that pissed me off.
