OMG talk about a freudian slip! oh man...lol bwhahahahaha

Oh trust me, Ive thought about that. Hense another reason for the time. I have an appointment in late January to talk to my doctor about this. Work out what I need to do, what can be done, medications, or just a complete change in diet...

Good to know that you can infact bring a lunch bag or small cooler with you. I do not know why I just assumed there was no room for anything like that. I'll actually mention my biggest fear / concern.. (OMG this is way too much TMI) I had gallbladder surgery about 5 years ago. Since then, my stomach has been a mess. If I eat on an empty stomach = straight to the bathroom. If I eat anything greasy = straight to the bathroom. Fruit = ya guessed it! Almost anything now goes straight through me. You think I would be stick thin, but, nooooooo..lol So, I know I can NOT eat fast food out, I usually only eat it at home. So, I am already freaking on what to eat, how, how much, when, where, all around a schedule I can not controll or predict. Now I know that when I am out for a while, I wait to eat right before I go home, or at home. In the morning, I can slam a handful of Cheerios to kinda ease my stomach into the day.. So, I am learning some things, but, man, I need to do something before I start working..

I guess there is NO hope at dignity at all working on an ambulance with someone ALL THE TIME huh. There will be farting... *sigh lol

I had to take a good hard look at myself and discover that I do infact eat mostly out of boredom and as an emotional crutch. Re-wiring my brain, and attempting to replace good habbits with bad is proving to be harder then I thought. Its one of those things that seems so 'simple', and you start out well. Only to notice that you crept right back into all the bad as before. Baby steps. And thats why I gave myself so much time, that way I dont set myself up to fail in a short amount of time. Im getting a Wii in a few weeks. Complete with all the Wii fitness packs. Im so stoked. I joined a gym, but, ughh its just not me. And I get these weird energy ball moments, but, due to the kids, I cant just take off. Its a good start anyhow. I know I will have to get to a point where I need to go back into the gym to work with someone. However, untill then, I can work out in my jammies, or really, just at anytime!!

I heard this term the other day, and about died laughing. But the guy telling me was saying its real. He told me that you can really gain alot of weight working on an ambulance. Okay, how? The main reason why I am waiting so long to take my EMT class is because I have a personal goal / promise to myself that I will not even pay for a class untill I have lost X amount of weight. I could do the job now as is, but, I would rather better myself and be as healthy as possible. I'll never be tiny, but, I can work on core strength, and cardio so that I can be a better me. But I dont want to blow back up after I get hired..lol

Love me when IM gone by Three Doors Down.. I've always said I want that at my funeral since it came out!

Cant imagine why he would want a radar gun?? I have a blow dryer with a huge attachment that makes it look just like a radar gun. If he wanted to mess with people he could have used it, and had fuller, thicker hair too . *edited to add, I tend to tell lame jokes early in the morning..lol

Reading your thread is what made me ask.. But I have a tendency to try and do it all at once. I am trying to be smart about this, and dont want to waste time, or overwhelm myself...

I have seen on here in a few posts how important A & P classes are for Paramedic classes. I have lots of time on my hands between now, and when I start my EMT-B classes. The local adult ed offers an 8 week basic A & P class for $89.00 (text book $60). Would that be something smart to take prior to EMT / will it help there? Or, is it too soon to worry about it? Its offered in March, ends in May and is about 2 miles down the road. Part of me is thinking that is a great jump ahead of everyone else. But, another wonders if its overkill for EMT class and something to not even worry about, yet...

I like that.... here in CA, we only get the female EMT talking about how great her PayDay Loan was

LMAO @ both.. I just about had tears in my eyes from laughing....

How sad. My thoughts are with his family.
-
Ha! Cute....
-
I didnt think it was actually possible to be successful in stealing it... But, I have heard a few people here in nearby Oakland say that sometimes they have had patients get grabby with them.
-
Thats a cute watch. I personally cant handle the feel of a watch on me. But, I figure I will learn to get over that fast..lol Has any PT ever tried to steal it? Do you wear rings / earings when you work?
-
I could give details.... I do have an active imagination, and can make up plenty

He did do some time (here and there) in county for stupid stuff as a teenager. Ya think he would know..lol Maybe he never "learned" or was angry that it was on a rope, and thusly, hard to drop..lol

Thank you! LOL If you have a strong accent I wont mind giving you anything you want, medically speaking I tried to call CCSF yesterday, but I am going to assume that they are out for the holiday. The spring 2010 classes are all CLOSED!! Yikes. But in a way, I am glad, I wanted to wait till summer. However, I am afraid if I dont pay for my classes NOW, I will get shut out of the fall classes..lol So now, I am on a slight OMG mode and trying to get my name out, and possibly some early info so I can make sure I dont miss out. Its months away, I know. But, I am a planner. I like to plan, plan again, plan for it to not happen, and plan again... lol

My aunt one year, litterally gave my older brother soap on a rope. He was about 24, and when he opened it the first thing out of his mouth was,"Where in the hell am I going to get soap stuck that I need a rope to get it out?". Every year I snicker to myself and can see my poor brother sitting there, holding it up next to the tree asking that question..lol

I have seen some FB's and Myspace pages where some EMT/Medics (just flipping through, do not know them personally) have pics from scenes. I do not recall if plates were blurred out. And there were no pictures of PT's, just wreckage, or blood stains. Is that crossing lines?

[NEWS FEED] Family of Dead Pregnant Woman Speaks Out - JEMS.com

The lawyer is saying his clients, "are being vilified in a rush to judgment.". So sad all the way around I wish the best for her family, esp. her little 3 yr old son. -
I hope so. I am trying to tell myself that I have maturity (kinda..lol) and age on my side, while not being too old. Then I kinda worry that someone in their 20's will breeze past me since I am well into my thirties..*sigh I am just gonna grin and bear it, try hard, and do my best. I really really like your plan o action with the city college. Sine I plan on going through to Paramedic at SFC anyway, its only a big duhhh to start there. I just am not a huge fan of the city streets, thats just the sissy in me. I guess there is only one way to get over that. Okay then, I feel better, its a more solid option. The spring 2010 classes are closed already. I need to get a jump on the summer or fall classes ASAP before I lose a spot there. Thanks so much
