  1. I am currently moving to NYC and i hold an EMT cert from the ugly state of Ohio . I was wondering how the reciprocity works in NY and what is REMAC and do i have to have it to be able to be certified. Other area of concurn is the fact they state that they need to see if the training is the same or more etc... EMTs iin ohio can intubate so is this somthing NY has as well ? well thanks to all who read and or reply. Nate
  2. I think you fail to see humor at all. The humor is the fact hes naked and doing reverse snow angles.. Get outta here with that treat first crap ,.. my job is to provide medical help to the sick and injured what the ******* you think i did just stand there ? lol go read your books or somethnig rookie. to the rookie Heres another funny call for ya's I had a 22 yom who had asked his girl what it feels like to get it up the A** and she showed him , with a flashlight and tennis ball at the end with a condom of over the whole concoocktion and well it got stuck.............. yes while greeting the pt i sstated and quote ( alright , which one stuck the flashlight up his ass )) true storey.
  3. Funny stuff ? Heres a funny call . Medic 340 , respond to 21st and broad for male running through the street , reports of self inflicted injurys . copy control , responding 21st and broad medic 340 As we arrived on scene i was exspecting to see this guy running around and well hurting himself in some kinda way . As ro my dismay , hes naked ! yes , naked as a j bird . He is doing a reverse snow angle in the middle of the road while banging his head hard into the pavement until he finnally passed out . Well thats all the funny for this storey but i can say it was hard not to laugh . Nate

    New EMT

Hello there , Well my name is Nate and i am about to give you my 2 cents worth if its any bit of help ! I am a registered EMT for the state of Oh and wrk in an area which traumas are name and game . I absolutely love the streets and wouldnt give it up for the world though i see the point about being to old to lug 350 +lb bodys out of spaces even you and i could prob never fit in lol.. ive seen it believe me . Paramedic to bridge is prob the smartest thing to do as you can take time on truck to better your skills and still be free and not cooped up . My sister is a Nurse practitioner and we are in constant bicker as to whos jobs better , im always the one who wins essentially . being an EMT not a medic i cant say much to the training aspect but i can say from watching my fellow medics pass by to RN , they are the best RN's in my oppinion because they had an outside look at the pt's before they arrived to a H and that in my eyes will later, when your an RN to see the big picture ( the storey ) and better treat your pts . Moral to this miscombobulation of words : Work your way up slowly , take your time and experience every aspect of ems as you can then bridge over or whatever you chose and watch as you are rockn the ED with your skills !! best of luck to you , PS : Youll find work , its always hard to get your first EMS position , after that , from then on consider yourself hired everytime . Nate
