I am hopped up on narcs, from a wisdom teeth extraction today. So excuse my lack of research, does anyone know the supreme court case that states police do not have to protect the public? As in, if I get shot on the street, I can't blame the police for keeping it from happening.

I think if I was a photog.... I would AVOID learning medical skills, and other skills besides my trade. Then I wouldn't have that tempation, to lose the shot for my employer. These shots on this slideshow..... you know they put a few months of food on these guys table. Journalism is one of the things that made the 20th century. Look at all of the iconic photographs, where would our world be with out the dissemination of these pictures and the stories behind them.

Yes... I was just making sure she had known that story. It went hand in hand with what shes saying. These journalists are human too. Its a job though. How is a journalist getting the shot of the year, diffrent then you looking the 16 year old taking their last breath and giving them a black tag during triage. Sensational example? Yes..... Nah. I am just trying to show the absuridty of a blanket statement. Even more so in an unpredictable work place. If you worked at Initech filling out TPS reports all day long, then thats a diffrent story. But...

But you want cell phones BANNED. I assume this to include your entire shift. So whats the diffrence. We have personal conversations at work all the time. You mean to tell me 100% of the conversation you have with your partner, or the other crews, is ALWAYS business? I say ban personal conversations at work. In fact, from now on, no more than 3 people are allowed in the station. Any more requires a member of management to be present. The first non work-related comment overheard gets you right into the progressive disicplne system.
