  1. sucks how the ones who usually deserve it, nothing happens
  2. that would be another good way to explain it
  3. I believe there are unwritten rules like that all over the place. No one really abuses it or anything. I normally never speed either.. but hey... I was on a 15mile or so long highway stretch that was almost all straight, no turns or anything. Just cruising along ya know.
  4. I am going to call fedex kinkos tomorrow to see if they have one of those continuous scanner dealies.
  5. actually, it was a guy who walked into the ER complaining of indigestion and left there in a helicopter to the cath lab. He coded twice and went through the classic stages from sinus, through heart blocks, to vtach, to vfib, to asystole, to pea, to heart blocks again... not sure on the exact order, but it was a really great strip.
  6. lol! (how's that for a useless post to boost up my posts! YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!)
  7. cool, I will definitely look into it
  8. it's A LOT of copying... but I could look into it.
  9. Yea, that was pretty much what I was thinking. It would take forever. Probably not worth it.
  10. that's the one! almost like an adrenalin rush
  11. haha yea, it was just an example of the feeling you get. it is like an all over body sudden rush of warmth. then your heart is racing and hyperventilate a little.
  12. actually.. the cop waved to me. but that's besides the point. I was curious of what causes those "feelings" the body gets when situations like that happen
  13. I have a super long ekg strip I would like to post. It is practialy a whole roll of paper. I would like to keep it one long strip, I don't want to cut it up. I want to post it, so you will be able to click on it, and move it side to side to view the whole thing. Any suggestions?
  14. If you enlarge the image when you click on the part where it says to click to enlarge and it opens a new window click and hold the control key on your keyboard and then hit the + key. It will enlarge the image even larger as many times as your click it. If you do the same, but use the - key, it will make it smaller. This also works for normal web page viewing. It works in firefox, and internet explorer.
  15. I feel like this after a good work out. After running a few miles, or on the bike. Sometimes after taking a hot shower. As others have said, it could be many possible things. Most likely in her case, she is just out of shape and needs to take it a bit easier in her exercising. When we exercise, exerting energy, burning up calories, body demanding more oxygen, etc etc, the body needs to adjust. If you are out of shape, the body has to work harder to do so. Proper diet will also help by giving the body the right nutrients and what not. also, not sure what this all has to do with a bitter taste after sweet foods.. unless I missed something
  16. What fun is that then?
  17. sounds more like a "mass casualty" than a "critical care" *bus* to me.
  18. Early Grey is some good stuff! People will do just about anything for it!
  19. Why would you want to carry a gun on the ambulance anyway? As Vent said, hospitals along with many other places are no carry zones. If you have a firearm on your person, going into a hospital, or one of those other locations you are opening up a can of worms for not only yourself, but your employer as well. A LEO may enter these locations with a firearm, when on duty.
  20. So, I was cruising along home earlier, not paying attention to my speed when I saw a cop sitting on the side of the road. I immediately got "that feeling" when you do something like that. That all over the body feeling, like a warm fuzzy feeling... a warm fuzzy feeling of doom. What is that called exactly, why does it happen? Is is some sort of vagal response?
  21. that's a shame. good scenario though.
  22. *deletes his posts from this topic* I seen nothing your honor
  23. Well said. I totally neglected the fact that this person is every much as liable as the other. From reading the little story, I see a few problems, but that's besides the point. Not to mention he admitted fault to it on a public forum with quite a bit of witnesses
  24. No, I am not. I was just re-stating the point of each section again since you asked if you should give the answer.
