Looks like anything these days makes you a hero. I'll definitely keep my eye out for people who have motion sickness on airplanes and boats from now on! It will make me a hero!!

Something or someone ( in his head) is telling him to injured/kill people in uniform. That is just sad and to think he is on bail.... It's a good think they were not injured.

Good thing you are asking for advice! I was almost stupid to buy all this EMT stuff that would have been nice to have but not needed. Instead I bought books. apps, and a good stethoscope. Good thing for EMT city being around they made me realize that such things are not worth the money. Gift certificate is the best thing or a good good stethoscope. You can never go wrong with those two. Congratulation to you brother!! Denny

I was just looking over this post to refresh my memory on PCR and WOW!! amazing advice from all you guys. I decided to comment on this again so it can be on top for the new members or new EMT or hell even people lurking around looking for some advice. Once again thank you all for this amazing advice and tips.

Just to let you know I take everything you say and of course EMT city members very serious and I am willing to take as much advice that can be given. As soon as I set foot in that ambulance my experience post will be put up. I hope and soon one day I will be able to give advice just like the one you been giving me since I became a member. I don't know if this is the proper place to chat about this but if it is, just lock it up or delete the thread. I finally landed a job after a long long wait. I received my cert around September of last year. I now work part time for a EMS agency and a perdium position with the other agency. Oddly these both jobs seems to be only inter facilities transport only, no 911 calls... Well I guess it's a start for me to put my foot in the door and get some good experience. Denny

I don't have much expeience as EMT yet but letting some one intervene in professional care by stating that, he is a family member and also a health care professional ext... Can lead to lots of legal problems. A few to name are negligence and abandonment. Plus, if they are a health care professional, why would they bother calling an ambulance. Do what you have to do and drive them to the ED. But calling an ambulance then trying to help is proberly just a way for them to leave a blame on some one. Just saying, still fresh in the field hoping to start paramdic school in a year. Denny

Welcome! just a thought. it's possible to become a medic before even being an EMT-B? I thought you first had to have your basic certificate first. I could be wrong. Just wondering. Welcome again and enjoy.

Hahahahaaha This made me laugh so hard and it's almost 3 in the morning! I've been lurking around the forums but not really replying to topics and such. Been trying hard to look for a gig.
