  1. It's not that i don't understand the fick principle, all i was wanting to know is if anyone knew of a good site to recommend, i wasn't wanting anyone to do my research for me, but that's water under the bridge.
  2. I had already "Googled " the subject i have already looked it up in books, but i thought that maybe someone on here may have some better info than i already had, i guess i was wrong to think that this was a forum for students who might need some information, this will be the last time i ask for info on here because it seems to be a bother to some.
  3. What a shame ....all i wanted to know was that if anyone knew of any good sites and all i get is a smart ass answer to just f#####g google it. thanks for the info
  4. I am looking for a good site to find some in depth info on the Fick Principle
  5. During a recent clinical rotation i was instructed to admin 25mg Phenergan, 10mg Nubain IV to a 76 yoa female pt whose cc was abdominal pain she was stable cao only complaint was the abdominal pain....my question is .....does the 25mg phenergan seem a bit much with the 10mg nubain? i even repeated the dosage to my preceptor and she said "yes that is correct", needless to say it was lights out for that lady she was out cold.
  6. I started in medic class oct 05 we are now doing ER clinicals as well as CCU we are doing trauma and MOI... so far we have covered all the leagal stuff all the way up to pharmacology and most recent airway/advanced airway.....done my first ER clinical this past saturday it was AWSOME I done IV's all night, drew labs, assessments ....needless to say i had a great preceptor and i can't wait till my next rotation
  7. we are using mosby paramedic text book 3rd edition along with the work book
  8. The PARAMEDIATE is the one that makes me cringe......you know, the basic who is in medic class and has finished one clinical rotation and all of a sudden he's a trauma surgeon......oh man these guys urk me to no end....i better shut up before i start cursing
  9. Abbreviations are OK to use sometimes, but you are better off from a legal point of view not to use them ....it reduces confusion when you write everything out long form... if you ever get called to court they will pick your PCR apart piece by piece ....in other words plain English is easily understood. just my 2 cents kymedic2007
