About Me
I'm still a paramedic, although I'm now temporarily disabled after getting diagnosed on August 20, 2013 with B Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Toss in that I was 23 weeks, 6 days pregnant with the baby my husband and I spent seven years trying to get. I am under-going chemotherapy at the best hospital in Maryland, and I'm on several services to watch both the baby and I during the treatments. She will be delivered at 30 weeks so additional chemotherapy drugs can be added to my plan. I expect nothing but remission and the ability to return to work once the intensive part of this treatment is over and it's all oral medications and random clinic days.
I'm pretty bored since I'll be inpatient through the delivery, so I'll be reading even more and hopefully contributing here a lot more.
I'll always be an avid reader of non-fiction history, especially English history. Not British history, English history. Yes, there is a difference, it's all in a year, and a Dynasty. Although lately, I confess a secret love for Romano-British history. The Romans were something else.
