  1. Does anyone think it would be appropriate if next time I am in Seattle to stop by a MedicOne base and ask some questions? I don't know how the big city departments operate and if this would be allowed.
  2. *shrugs* I am a different person than when I first signed onto this forum.
  3. @paramedicMike So basically all you are saying is that if you want to lead a happy life, use Fahrenheit?
  4. Hm. Not only have I learned about Medic One but I have learned not to be arrogant in EMS. Thanks guys.
  5. Welcome Ralphie, don't let them get to you.
  6. Get the hell outta here, you bourgeois!
  7. Ahem. . .um what?
  8. Thanks for the advice Mike. I'm considering majoring in paramedicine w/ a minor in biology rather than just going through a certificate program to help me get in.
  9. Thanks for the info, Mike. All in all I know it's competitive but I think I can get in. It's cool you work in Seattle, I'd like to work there someday if the cost of living wasn't over the roof.
  10. Welcome. I'm the person everybody bullies. //shot
  11. As the daughter of a prison guard, I support this. One more off death row!
  12. @IrishEDP That's with the fire department as some kind soul explained to me, I'm looking at KCM1 which is a separate thing that you don't have to spend years as an FF. All in all thanks for the advice guys.
  13. Yeah, I like his version better. Maybe that's just cuz I'mma girl tho. . .
  14. Looking for help from a Medic One EMT-P. . . I live in Washington state and someday I would really like to work with Medic One in Seattle. The problem is I don't live in King County now, and it seems like Medic One is pretty selective in who they hire and tend to choose students who have always lived in King County. . .? I plan on getting my EMT-B as soon as I grad. high school, and get three years of volunteer work under my belt before applying. But since I am fifteen now, what are some things that I could do NOW that would look good on an application later?
  15. This weekend all I did was burst randomly into my brother's room and start singing this song. I know the image is as burnt into his mind as it is mine.
  16. We are really moving forward with this. I can't wait to see what we will do next: http://3dprintingindustry.com/2013/06/05/3d-printed-bronchi-splint-breathes-life-for-a-child/
  17. It's too quiet on here.

  18. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W6DmHGYy_xk Not only did I laugh way too hard at this, this guy is having too much fun. Just as a warning it's kind of risque.
  19. Sorry for your loss Doc, that's tough. Thinking of you guys.
  20. You have fun with that metamucil, Doc.
  21. Have a good time here.
  22. @Mateo Yeah, I was kinda emotional. :/ I did wait a time to let things settle in myself before I talked to her. All in all it turned out okay, just some trust needs rebuilt and actually earned. Not only do I use it with that friend, but I am more careful with who I trust now when I go out places. I make sure I have at least one reliable person in my group. That last paragraph was great. I really appreciated that, all in all, it is difficult to prove to people that yes I am mature enough to at least be considered for it. I appreciate adults with views like you, you mean the world to us kids. Thanks for the reply.
  23. Sorry, but the limited wisdom of my fifteen-year-old my mind can only look up in awe at the cumulitive knowledge of my elders here. Thus the "old" comment.
  24. I read a good one. Dial 911 by Joan E. Loyd and some other guy. . .it was kinda old so yeah like ERDoc said with the MAST pants etc. . .but it was good.
