So we have all had an experience with Bullying. I was the bully in school and one time I made my best friend cry. It made me stop and start bulling the bullies later on. My children were very lucky in highschool and never felt the effects of this crisis, nor did they do it. This, when I was a kid consisted of name calling, a bit of pushing, and some threats of bodily harm. Now it is just unbelievable how it has escalated in our society. When social media became the norm in life my older boys were already out of the house and my youngest was about 14. So this was not a reality in my household. When facebook came out I was one of his first friends, and yes I did monitor his facebook, I was lucky. This young girl is from BC. She committed suicide 2 days ago because her life was unbearable. I cried through out this whole video because I know she is not the only one out there. Please pass this on to those in your life, please talk to your kids, grandkids and any other kids in your life. It dosn't matter if they are the bully or being bullied. This is so unacceptable and I will for one be just a bit more of an advocate when I can. There is a young man in my life that has had suicidal tendencies and I had to ship him out to get help and this is what I told him. (I asked my partner to leave the room and waited for the nurse to leave) I told him that I loved him unconditionaly, I told him that he is an important part of my life, I gave him a hug full of love and I let him cry on my shoulder until he felt better. It dosn't matter why a child would want to committe suicide what matters is that those children know that there is someone, anyone that loves them. If you know anyone like my boy, let them know they are loved, it might make the difference in their life. I would like to know all the history of the evening, vitals, and exactly what my pt looks like for example is he pale and sweaty etc. and what drugs or etoh may have been ingested in the last 48 hrs. including regular meds
-
They just got home from some nice evening together. Decided to have a nice hot bath and a few drinks and then a good romp in the hay. He took viagra and started to have chest pains............
-
Well you have to have a safe scene so that has been agreed on. One thing I would like to know, was it the pt that called for help or someone else. Defib you have a bit of an evil streak...................

Let's put this argument to bed forever and get on with the more important things. I thought about an age-old question: Is giving birth more painful than getting kicked in the nuts? Women always maintain that giving birth is way more painful than a guy getting kicked in the nuts. Well, after a few beers, and some heavy deductive thinking, I have come up with the answer to that question. Getting kicked in the nuts is more painful than having a baby, and here is the reason for my conclusion: A year or so after giving birth, a woman will often say, "It might be nice to have another child." On the other hand, you will never hear a guy say, "You know, I think I would like another kick in the nuts." I rest my case.

I have been known to have a very Alpha personality. As far as Im concerned it has made me a better paramedic. The one thing that I do though is that when I am with a new partner I say to them, "If we are in a real emergency and I start telling you what to do (Im the highest level in the station)or if I take over do not take it personaly" I make this very clear. I have had two problems with partners, one I sat down and we discussed the issue and it turned out that it was just a missunderstanding because she didn't hear the whole conversation and the other one in reality I didn't do anything because I didn't care. Maybe sit down with your pts and just say "This is how I am and dont take it personaly"

WOW So there is just so much wrong with group it is truely unbelievable. I have to admit at the beginng I was fence sitting on who's side I was on. I wonder what made the video guy thinking when he started filming, bet he didn't think it would end the way it did. The Robert Dziekanski case in Vancouver in Canada is the equivalant to this. When the police authorities are given so much power in any society there will always be these stories. It is so sad that these horrible incidents hit the internet and show case these bad officers, I would like to once in awhile see videos of cops doing the good things they do hit the media but then again it isnt as exciting now is it. The whole thing is just sad and reading the comments was just as pathetic.

I have a probably dumb question. Is the name because they are actually salt you put in your bath, or is it just a street name they came up with. The sad thing is that young people just come up with new ways to get high. It was not that long ago it was extracting the alcohol from hand sanitizer
-
So with all being said What is the treatment (if any) for bathsalts or do ya just restrain them and let them bite their own body parts.....

Well isn't a life of kicks in the head.................. The young man had been admitted into ICU with renal failure. They are unsure of what the cause is but say it might be from the meds he has been on. We can only wait and see and hope for the best, and hope this is a situation of you have to get worse before you get better. Now I guess here is another late lesson learned. At the time the family went to court to try and get these two neanderthol's out of mexican jail they should have googled their names and they would have found out that these two had just been convicted in Britin for the same behaviour in a pub. One recieved community service and the one that actually did the damage spent 29 weeks in jail. It is a bit frustrating now knowing that they are back in Britian and there is nothing that can be done. But I guess that is the nature of life lessons.

Do a complete set of vitals, and assesment. Ask the pt if he would like to have some entonox to help with the pain. Explain all side effects to the drug.. place in a pillow splint and use zap straps to secure to uninjured foot. Check pedals and apply ice for 10 min on 10 min off. Get onto stretcher and off we go monitoring the vitals and pain level.

****** 23 ADULT TRUTHS ****** 1 Sometimes I'll look down at my watch 3 consecutive times and still not know what time it is. 2. Nothing worse than that moment during an argument when you realize you're wrong. 3. I totally take back all those times I didn't want to nap when I was younger. 4. There is great need for a sarcasm font. 5. How the hell are you supposed to fold a fitted sheet? 6. Was learning cursive really necessary? 7. Map Quest really needs to start their directions on # 5. I'm pretty sure I know how to get out of my neighborhood. 8. Obituaries would be a lot more interesting if they told you how the person died. 9. I can't remember the last time I wasn't at least kind-of tired. 10. Bad decisions make good stories. 11. You never know when it will strike, but there comes a moment at work when you know that you just aren't going to do anything productive for the rest of the day. 12. Can we all just agree to ignore whatever comes after Blue Ray? I don't want to have to restart my collection...again. 13. I'm always slightly terrified when I exit out of Word and it asks me if I want to save any changes to my ten-page technical report that I swear I did not make any changes to. 14. I keep some people's phone numbers in my phone just so I know not to answer when they call. 15. I think the freezer deserves a light as well. 16. I disagree with Kay Jewelers. I would bet on any given Friday or Saturday night more kisses begin with Miller Light than Kay. 17. I wish Google Maps had an "Avoid Ghetto" routing option. 18. I have a hard time deciphering the fine line between boredom and hunger. 19. How many times is it appropriate to say "What?" before you just nod and smile because you still didn't hear or understand a word they said? 20. I love the sense of camaraderie when an entire line of cars team up to prevent a jerk from cutting in at the front. Stay strong, brothers and sisters! 21. Shirts get dirty. Underwear gets dirty. Pants? Pants never get dirty, and you can wear them forever. 22. Even under ideal conditions people have trouble locating their car keys in a pocket, finding their cell phone, and Pinning the Tail on the Donkey - but I'd bet everyone can find and push the snooze button from 3 feet away, in about 1.7 seconds, eyes closed, first time, every time. 23. The first testicular guard, the "Cup," was used inHockey in 1874 and the first helmet was used in 1974. That means it only took 100 years for men to realize that their brain is also important. Ladies.....Quit Laughing.

For me the reason for eclampsia is because I have known of one mother who did die 2 weeks after birth, she had no complications during the birth but the baby was about 12 lbs. I dont remember why the babies weight had anything to do with it but anyways it was a tragic event in the community. Well I hope the answer is something rare because I havnt a clue at this point.
-
Okay Im going to ask how big was the baby. I was going with pre eclampsia but not really at this point. I would also like know if there is any SOB as pulmonary embolism could be a factor. Did she tear while in childbirth.
