  1. I bet you have a shirt with this on it?? -10 for being a cliche' Enjoy the chat room
  2. Says the toad... Whats going on Oz, long time no see??
  3. LMAO! Got a better idea............ you may find your "volunteer" garbage collectors this way, freeing up money for paid EMS and the cessation of volunteerism in most areas:D
  4. I understand your point, but again, we are concerned with the bookscontent, not with any individuals beef with the author, and if you do that should be for another thread. I still shake my head and wonder why people believe that any person should be haeld to a higher standard than joe public purely because they are a physician. You can trot out line on being respected by the community, but i can respect the kid that pumps my gas because he's doing it for me, washing my windhsield and contributing to society, so the difference is negligable. Same punishment for same infringement, no matter how "respected" you are.
  5. who cares.... come up with a real question instead of wasting our time so you can get in the chat room
  6. And this has what to do with the quality of the book itself? Who gives a rats about the author, its is the content of the book which concerns us here.
  7. Seriously, if you are referring to the Huszaar book, then yeah, ditch it for the Dubin Book, too complicated if your just setting out
  8. Thems fighting words dust!! I have to say my spelling sucks as well, and i know that spell check button is there but for some reason it locks up my system
  9. Phil, what has the HSU been doing in the 2 years it took for the Carr/Iemma tea party to get back to you?? You guys need a union like the FBEU. Theres only two organisations that have really held the government to ransom on pay demands, the dock workers and NSW fire brigades
  10. oh god you know what, after such a let down i had to take my shirt of, wrap it around my head and tweak my nipples in the mirror so i didn't lose that loving feeling
  11. Indeed... ..... flashy Stethescopes, flashy trauma bags, flashing lights, flashy uniforms, fighting to keep it "volunteer" and flashy badges are forbidden topic of discussion. Any breaches and your profile is terminated with extreme prejudice
  12. 3 times? Admin is getting soft in his old age... I would have minimum 100
  13. whats the go with this "getting into a chat romm" business??? I dissappear for a few weeks because of lazyness, assessments and more importantly, because of the box set of ponty python DVD's i acquired, and now there is a new joke i dont know anything about! What gives?? Anyway, ill be off, im pining, pining for the fjiords
  14. Bloody hell dust 6 and a half thousand posts and you STILL dont appear in the chat room, your failing miserably.......... how can anyone trust a paramedic who can't even achieve that?? Its like that bloke who failed his emt-b exam twice who complained that it was too hard Go hard or go home, or , alternatively, go to the bottle shop 8)
  15. No offence "dude", but your friends are idiots for 2 reasons 1) not everybody has the same standing orders, hence bold highlighting of "they", as in your friendd 2) Your "friends", as in "paramedics and emt's" should not presume to know what a doctor can/cannot do. There is a reason why one went to university and the other went to first aid college  -5 for not having paragraphs
  16. :evil4: classic......
  17. I would think that it is classified as a work are if it is a unisex bunk room, and if it also provided for the purposes of resting while on duty. If the room was for sleeping between shifts then i think that would be different
  18. In terms of forum responses or in loading dust??
  19. my experience thus far with similar devices is that it "seems" to reduce injury through MOI's that would be seen as less serious than others. The tradoff is that when they do get injured, they get injured big time. i dont think it makes patient handling that m,uch more difficult as you are alreadu contending with helmets, kidney belts, back, chest and shoulder armour to begin with, its just one more thing to contend with. I fond it adds time to assessment and immobilisation, not necessarily difficult, just fiddly to deal with
  20. Yeah... google worcester cold storage people!
  21. Nope.... dropping the baby is how you tests the grimace for the APGAR score
  22. okay....ill have a totally uninformed opinion on this and say what you were doing was different from the sheet of paper with the boxes on it he was marking you by?
  23. I must admit i carry a whacker pouch.....pen, penlight, shears, scissors, stethoscope, minimag, digital thermometer and plastic slips. Though usually it sits on the dash of the truck, i very rarely wear it, unless im doing a lot of first aid type crap in an outdoor area
