Awesome scooby ... how many other HCW do that you think are that diligent or even educated enough, is that covered in EMT-B 101 ? What do you wash it with ETOH foam? Do you remove the ring on the diaphragm ? Where do you store it on the outside of your gown? What type of thermometers are you using disposable ?... As that was found to be the focus/ fomite / vector in an ICU when we had a huge break out of MRSA in ICU, non disposable btw ... the ones found on the wall blue cover for rectal, red for oral ... was the entire attached wire and device that was swabbed to find the cleaning staff were told not to wash them. WE found the worst perpetrators for lack of isolation were the attending MDS . cheers

And now true situational irony, I was on the list to be one of the first to be inoculated, so then I could assist with others that had an IQ higher than 4, the line ups for high risk groups after a 13 and a 14 year old died in 3 days in Ontario are 4 to 5 hours long in Edmonton today ... there is more vacine than tamiflu, period. Backgrounder: In another thread I had severe back pain ... sought help from local ER 3 days ago(they sucked btw) but not the point ... was at least 5 people hacking and G damn sick in the waiting room, all staff were masked well accept for the moron MD. I NOW have every symptom, last time I was this ill I landed in my own ICU on BI Level support for 3 days, cough producing, not just sputum but so hard I have upper and lower GI losses, it so sucks to clean up your own puke. I so tried to explain that this Influenza was just URTI ... I WAS WRONG ! SO WRONG. I have isolated myself voluntarily, the pig is out of the barn for me, my MD said stay at home only come to office if I had to be admitted. So all you non believers that its not to best thing to try to stop this in its tracks .... hey then come on up and spend some quality time with me, and I need someone to help clean up chicken soup that firefly suggested I eat .... highly unlikely Cambells soup was toxic. Or you could listen to Dr. B, Ventmedic, ER doc and those that are trusted as knowledgeable experts on this site ... your call. http://www.emtcity.com/index.php/topic/16746-gimme-the-flu-vaccine-or-i-wont-play-emt/page__st__10__gopid__227845&#entry227845 Still no responses .... anyone ??? Phil the moose population here has no worries here, I couldn't get it up with a bottle of Viagra and Popsicle sticks with Duct tape, sorry best I could think of on short notice. Sure hope my ex wife follows my advice and my kids are in the line right now .... no cheer at all.
-
What ? No responses ?
-
Oh darn I missed it ...pfft. The reference to Tony D from NCIS .... I must protest that guy's hilarious and can act, does a great Shawn Connery
-
Well being rather ill today, I have to agree to a point until your too sick. I now believe the pig is out of the barn and we are just trying to do damage control ... just think a 1/3 of the population off work for a minimum a week in a time of recession (thats just the economic perspective) this the negative hype over taking a vaccine ... and I thought we were modern educated society. First off just sitting and talking with a patient is one thing ..... This EMT is just making a point has she actually refused a call PROVEN ? SHE is wanting EMS to be first on the list thats the issue you clowns ... I hope the Toronto guys had their shots before responding to the 13 year old arrest, cause theres no risk there, like intubating, starting a line, cause no one gets blood or fluid doing any of those procedures the demographic group mortality morbidity is the big query right now. Ok so for debate, no HCW has develop Hep C, MRSA, VRE or SARS using masks gloves and masks ... ok sure right then, no surgeon or dentist has developed HIV AIDS either <insert sarcasm> The vaccine is the only realistic protection ... It wasn't available here last week .... OMG now I sure as hell wish I had it now. Its really hard being sick and cough so bad you puke and then have to clean the vomit yourself. Hey EMT Martin great point, so do you clean that stethoscope every time you use it ? Or do you put it in your pocket, BDU or do you hang it around your neck to be cool ? Just saying tell me you have every case or I don't want you to touch my kids ... get it ? Heres another controversy ...using anti bacteral ETOH hand cleaner ... this breaks the cell wall of the bacteria, SO guys I query you this what is inside that cell, could it be RNA or DNA ... and where do virus's attach too again ....? http://www.phac-aspc.gc.ca/alert-alerte/h1n1/faq_rg_h1n1-eng.php cheers well I must be feeling better cause I'm feeling more
-
(no bearing at all) So whats the difference cause virus's are not as big as a threat ..... no I don't buy it for a millisecond, nice try though During WW1 more died from Spanish flu than in combat (just a little comparison to blow that comparison out of the water) And just on the news again we lost another 14 year old boy in Ontario, arrested at home and EMS responded ... it took just 2 days for him to die, a 13 y/0 girl the day before, no history, healthy kids this just not unexplainable we don't understand it yet. If you somehow believe that wearing a mask gloves and glasses is adequate or you believe that your training on any EMS level is adequate for infectious disease control for aerosolized particles and decon of truck .... please think again. I comment this EMT for taking a stand ... now if you will excuse me ...I have first wash my keyboard and then go lay down, cause i am good to no any one right now. cheers
-
Really take away her licence .... yikes guys kinda harsh. A diaper and a topical anesthetic, more like it. Ok well heres just me again raving about the vaccination AGAIN (not available here yet or I WOULD have had it already) .... well last night I have had ALL of these symptoms I am so G damn sick, know what ..... after hearing about this story I just don't blame this gal one iota for making a stand, volly, pro, FF or RN .... everyone has right too refuse unsafe work, but big point missing is who does or does not have or carry it, triage flu symptoms on the phone ...hmm that will work well I bet. I haven't felt this ill since AK forced me drink to with him .... ok poor attempt at humor.
-
OK I will make a stand here if DR bbledsoe does not rate an immediate 500000 or AT LEAST An honorary membership then EMT City ADMIN ....you will never see a post from me ever again again. Dustdevil are You in Favor ? of motion presented ie attention AKflightmedic ? Terror ? spleac, 4cmK6? SA_Medic? Ventmedic ? Firefly? RidRider 911? Dwayne? auzzieplil you pevevert roo humping freak? Richard B? Lp flight? rock _shoes? Doc harris? kiwi? scobbie doo, and all other reprobates .... and all I for got to mention ..... ALL IN FAVOUR say EH!! CHEERS WE so need a Leader in EMS for solidarity, being world wide. <end crazy insane rant>
-
I prefer a red dress but Black is all good.
-
Nah dude, you respect phil ? OMG we have to SO have to talk... I respect you totally and your a leader but thing is but please and WTF ? is liters per 100 kms, vs MPGs now thats something I just can't just wrap my brain around and PM no way figging way, if Vent medic can accept my apologies then the OZ will accept yours, no worries mate, water under the bridge .. and despite the perversion and the humping roos and wallabies/ camels and the like, we luv phil why the hell the women worship him as a sexual god .. I have no idea ... and quite positive pharmacologically induced ..... cheers We are a cohesive force in this EMT city and have this venue and thank's to you ADMIN and AK and Terror the ability to exchange ideas and really improve the biggest problem ... solidarity in EMS, watch for my next thread .... (thats called fore shadowing) I met with rock_shoes today and my total pleasure, united we stand divided we FAIL in Dust Devil speak. plus 1 for you Matteo.

Not trying to thread jack just FYI with other "shady" vaccines yes stats are great, but just me but I like to boil things down a bit, have watched a few children / adolesent die and it becomes much more personal. We are observing a resurgence of Bordetella pertussis and directly due to non compliant patients in now TB resistant strains ie Mycobacterium tuberculosis is the primary causative bacterium although other mycobacteria such as Mycobacterium bovis, Mycobacterium africanum, Mycobacterium canetti, and Mycobacterium microti are also causes. This in a demographic population that believe that this is a rights issue .... so to be politically correct I will leave that group blank, I just call them stoopid. So big question to ME is why do I as a HCW expose myself when others under a supposed "rights issues" and chose to ignore evidence based medical advice, hey I have rights too and I didn't sign off when I put on a uniform, should we not have the right to refuse based on unsafe work hazard ... just for debates sake .... While kinda on that topic ..... the Meningococcal vaccine http://www.vaccineinformation.org/menin/photos.asp ps put the Big Mac down before you check this link .... just saying. Meningococcal diseases are caused by a germ (a kind of bacteria) called meningococcus. This germ can cause two serious diseases: meningitis, an infection of the fluid and lining that cover the brain and spinal cord, and septicemia, a serious blood infection. You can protect your children from these diseases with a vaccine. There are two kinds of meningococcal vaccine available in Canada and each provides different protection: One is more effective in babies and young children. It only protects against one type of the meningococcus germ (type C). In Canada, the vaccine is available under these brand names: Menjugate (Novartis), NeisVac-C (GlaxoSmithKline) and Meningitec (Wyeth). Another vaccine is called MCV4 and helps protect children 2 years and older against all 4 preventable types of the meningococcal germ called: Menactra (sanofi Pasteur). Your doctor may offer this vaccine to your child to reduce the chance of her getting meningococcal infection from the 3 groups not already covered. This vaccine is recommended for people at higher risk of getting meningococcal infection. It is not covered by all provincial or territorial health plans. Your doctor will know which vaccine is best for your child. The Canadian Paediatric Society and the National Advisory Committee on Immunization recommend that all babies and young children get the vaccine to protect them against type C meningococcus. How common is meningococcal disease? In Canada, there are about 200 cases of meningococcal disease every year. The germs that cause the most infections are known as group B. Group C, W135 and Y cause the rest. Since 1989, there have been outbreaks of group C disease among teenagers in many parts of Canada. These outbreaks usually happen in one or two schools in an area and result in less than 5 cases. How serious are these diseases? Without treatment, all children who get meningitis will die or suffer damage that lasts the rest of their lives. Even with treatment, about 1 in 20 children will die. About 1 in 20 children who survive meningitis will have brain damage. Septicemia can kill very quickly. Even with treatment, about 1 in 4 children with meningococcal septicemia will die or have permanent damage. How do meningococcal diseases spread? The germs that cause meningococcal diseases are quite common. They live in the back of the nose and throat of about 1 in 5 teenagers and adults without causing any sickness. These people are called “healthy carriers.” The germs are not very strong. They die quickly outside the body. The germs are spread mostly by healthy carriers, and not by people who are clearly sick with the disease. For the disease to spread, people must have close, direct contact such family members living in the same house or others with similar close contact. The germs can also be spread through saliva when people share things such as cigarettes, lipstick, food or drinks, cups, water bottles, cans, drinking straws, toothbrushes, toys, mouth guards and musical instruments with mouthpieces. Smoking and overcrowding increase the risk that the germs will spread. If someone has meningococcal disease, doctors will often give antibiotics to their family members or people who come into close contact. This can stop the germs from spreading.

Yea no kidding about the money, but if your 42,000 ft asl and one may have to divert to another country, state or province well it sure comes in handy and worth every penny, especially when flying out of a foreign country LDT, especially all the dang antibiotics. I still have my hand made cards from back in the day and it IS the best way to learn as it puts the regular used drugs and doses into long term memory. cheers blue skys and calm air ....

Just an friend that forgot to get a H1N1 flu inoculation. Or my next future ex wife. You choose ...
-
And when you get old and lazy and do inter hospital flights across borders .... get a pda. http://www.pepid.com/
-
Mandatory no, and why because Darwin will always win. Ok first off I am rather astounded that the EMS general misunderstanding of infectious disease control is so lame, let alone just what H1N1 really is ... H1N1 is NOT a stomach flu (one can have GI upset as some of the symptoms) its a respiratory tract viral infection and latest stats today were 1000 dead out of the US, Quebec has started vaccinating HCP today because of an resurgence in one school. Question is have we not progressed just a bit since SARS (didnt see that comming did we) and as ERDoc states I too will be standing in line my kids first ahead of me and then I will volunteer to assist in inoculations. I did not blink an eye with Hep B, Hep A, Polio, Diphtheria, Typhoid, +++ and take antimalarials when travelling, had to take Rifampin being exposed to an active case of TB, and funny thing I am still breathing. Here is the latest info from Health Canada and forget the CNN or newspaper hype because thats what it is simply stated, add to this informative educational conversation, it will answer the difference between an adjuvanted and non-adjuvanted vaccine. http://www.phac-aspc.gc.ca/alert-alerte/h1n1/faq_rg_h1n1-eng.php But lets put this in a different light just for comparisons sake shall we ? Monsanto chemical corporation introduces hybridized canola seed that can withstand much higher concentrations of "round up" a defoliant, then we crush the seed's that before humans ever even tried eating, those crops, then we hydrolyse the vegetable protein so it spreads on bread when cold (yummy) our beef is injected with antibiotics, BGH injected into cattle to increase milk production, our chicken is treated with tetracyclines, we drink aspartame because its less expensive to produce than sugar (and marketing) btw Phenylalanine makes up 50% of aspartame (I will spare you gory details) we eat processed anything deep fried in trans fat crap, not to mention the myriad of "preservatives" in bread alone. And no word of a mention what is in Rotten Ronnie's special sauce ... sorry spenac. But you asked ...... http://www.hc-sc.gc.ca/dhp-mps/prodpharma/legislation/interimorders-arretesurgence/prodinfo-vaccin-eng.php Theres more Vitamin E and Polysorbate in a bag of potato chips. And we are worried about a very well researched vaccination, I thought we are supposedly professional health care providers and directly in the line of fire to help out to stamp out disease and pestulance ? Well just me, but I will happily take my extremely skinny risk assessment and if it kills me well then at least I will make a good statistic for the next Spanish flu, because its just a matter of time before that associated mutant form of that will raise its very ugly head. Oh in addition in an unmentioned 3rd world country as a control they killed all the pigs (a country that does not eat them) to find a resurgence of Bubonic Plague, because the Pigs were eating garbage but now the rats took over ... ah the black death over an influenza ... clever bunch their too. cheers

Just the Kanukistanian Peace keeping force here, attempting to avoid the invasion of OZ and the slaughter that would occur ... ok yes I too am going after a EMT city Nobel Piece Prize. BULL? I think you mean ROO ? Query to Mateo do you not dose in mgs/kg when calculating drug's, because all my Bledsoe books (oh and free btw) its never mgs/lbs. Just saying its almost looking your trying to pick a fight with an OZ .. are you nuts they never take prisoners you haven't heard ? I would rather take on a Gurkha and besides there has been a calculation conversion provided for you on 2 occasions, once again 1 kilogram = 2.204 lbs and took a goggle search of .07 seconds. Besides if you look at posts these days EMT City has become an international forum. Back to the thread at hand, well besides the extreme High fat deep fried diet of NA and killer trans fats, then processed everything, btw what is in that cheeze wiz omg its only 2 molecules away from plastic, and another hint look to the fat content in your Top Ramen noddles nutritional values ... you may be astounded, lets talk MAC and Cheese another NA staple, poison plain and simple ... I boil macaroni one dollop of butter (sorry don't know that conversion) a tablespoon of flour and milk, its called a rue, then some real cheese added for flavor its way less expensive and it takes the same cooking time ... why is there a pandemic ... because NA's are just bloody LAZY and listen to and believe way to much advertising BULL, maybe use the US legal system should sue the food companies responsible for this pandemic, sent the overweight baggage bill to those that promote this ... just saying. IHMO the only way is to educate the children, gastroplasty has huge complications and a surgical fix is NOT the answer either ... hey water is good stuff it does not need 23 grams of processed sugar in it to be palatable, eat potatoes not deep fried "crisps" oh sorry that chips for those on just this continent ...on to Aspartame the other quick fix, and fix would be the right term. http://www.sweetpoison.com/aspartame-side-effects.html cheers and my back hurts today and bad and I am grumpy too. You are what you eat it is simple ... and please stop using the the I have a low metabolic rate excuse .... because that is BS personified ask an RRT doing metabolic cart studies. Yeah GOT to love Tx, the right response to the problem, Acadian in LA does the exact same thing, they even encourage it but that could be a financial justification. Agreed but we call it Human Rights here.

http://www.halls.md/body-mass-index/bmi.htm This is in kgs and pounds for easy translation for MBI, so have at it kids. So Is GPS targeting in Long and Lat in miles or in kms .... just saying, long tonnes or short tons so different stokes for different folks / mates. Nah and don't give the OZ 3 years warning, cause ALL the beer will be consumed, the women hidden, the poisonous snakes released, the crocks and killer roos and wallabies armed and the carrier will be bombed by spiders that like to live in the loo, who need nukes when you have those weapons of mass destruction. As for the PC term Bariatric, why not just call the fire fighters as they lift heavy things don't they ? quoting aussiephil. OK realistically obesity has become a pandemic in NA, building bigger trucks is not the answer, health care and not sick care is the answer, the issues of why this is occurring at such an alarming rate in NA is something that has to be addressed and lets not forget we are just the means of transport, the Bariatric patients and management and movement in hospital settings is a serious challenge to avoid back injuries. cheers

Hey this was an Official release from Health Canada ....
-
gee thanks lmao

Yeah no jump just a drive over the border, thing is and I am hearing through the grapevine that Sask College of new fools some how believes in the ACoP advantage, good grief more oversight by the white shirt wanna be types wanting 5 bars on their shirts ... be very aware and get involved before there is a HPA type legislation is passed ... honestly, I would LOVE to support the best CFL team ever cause the Riders ROCK! BUT I am one of very few left here that is willing to fight the good fight (honestly I can't blame the guys that paddled down the SASK River in the winter to flatter pastures, must have been cold and damn it mobey will be next ... that said I don't have a paddle just a handle left, so I'm going to be the biggest PITA that I can possibly be, believing that one needs an effective opposition to be an effective democracy maybe when I'm dead they will understand what and where we went wrong First off personal advice don't allow First Aid Levels/ FMRs/ EMRs to somehow be become Health Care Professionals cause THEY simply ain't, and assure field and hospital endorsements. And no offence intended to any EMR out there those that send me queries and questions daily, I support them as best I can, time to grow and commit. http://www.emtcity.com/index.php/topic/15127-one-month-post-alberta-transition/ Disagreeing with fast tracking Forgien Trained MDS becoming Paramedics in EDMONTON in 24 weeks got me booted from another website .. and thank GOD and I mean my Christian type GOD that EMT City allows freedom of speech, bless you EMT city ! You got that right but you do have some good types east of saskabush and true Leaders in Fact ! ... yeah know, PAC wanted to study just why Paramedics lifespan was so short in the field, there is just no data available and we have no idea where they all go, become plumbers WTF ? The turn over is huge especially in other provinces, the BC CUPE provided studies proved that back injuries were a huge issue ~ 50 y/o and your toast and with 50 % of ACPS retiring in BC as rock_shoes states but those stats/ studies fell by the wayside. Ok, so I tried but seriously had no idea where or how to start as there was no registries at the time and FOIP act was no help at all, hell ACoP has had 5 requests from myself just about my personal records and no response another FAIL HUGE, can't even contact my friends cause its against the regs, all hush hush you know and the listserver site I put motion to floor was defeated, just so we could discuss issues and give grunt on the ground suggestions .... as the US marines say if you can't communicate you cant shoot! Any question Why this motion was defeated ? NOW and especially now with ACoP and their recent Lawyers council advice (oh so don't get me going) the financial divestiture from PAC IMHO one of the biggest FAILURES in the history of development of EMS in Canada, a measly 30 G donation that amount's to $15 CDN per ACoP member, this out of a 3 million budget ? so NO funds from AB to PAC, so zip for a federal lobbies and very serious disappointment with some of the best minds (and hearts) of EMS in our country, sorry Pierre and Eric I did try. FF and LEOs here can retire at 55 ... looks like the rest of us like Medics have to hump stretchers till we are 65 ... good job Mr. AcoP President Renee Linssen EMR good luck with that, FAIL Again ! cheers best support CUPE and the unions cause thats the ONLY democratic freedom we have left.

So guys hows things going with transition to perfection ? Hows that use of Paramedics in Rural Hospitals working out ? Will Stelmach follow Campbell's lead with "essential services clause" more OT anyone? FORCED! And oddly the only employment posted for public services (GP) the first transition experiment ? And now 3 dispatch centers, Fire departments are just loving that well is the word. And closing acute care beds in Alberta Hospital, Unit 632 call for more crazy people. And the UNA hiring freeze, happy RNs everywhere I bet? AUPE walking the streets just yesterday ... oh you can bet I laid on the horn in support. And the huge raises that Stelmach is now offering teachers and now back tracking on his legal signed agreement with the teachers for your kids education ? ACoP being dictated to by government, a self regulating body .... lier lier pants on fire, and is choking a public appointee illegal one that doesn't know how to put a stretcher out of the back of a truck, or hell an EMR as a President of ACoP with no hospital or field practicum. And those the wait times in the hallways, and the decreased wait times for hip and knee surgeries, for the very folks that voted these jokes in ? And well besides a one way return ticket (on my coin) for Druckman and send him back to where aussiephil could take a round out of him for a box of beer. Well just me thinking out loud ... 40 years of Conservatives is ENOUGH ! http://www.wildrosealliance.ca/ Oh crap forgot the extra 14 white shirted wizards that are doing such a great job @ 80 G a year now theres good value for money 1.12 million for new numbers on trucks ? Still awaiting a reply for Provincial Protocols ED, heck its only been a year. And then there is the brilliant new amended OH+S regs that do NOT require a registered member to provide medical services, so come on down every tom dick and harry .... the doors wide open, thanks ACoP for being diligent. Anyone check out section 2(1)in the new improved EHS Act ? ... interesting read. cheers
-
My dermatome level S4 S5 thanks you. in advance. But as for that route of medication I would be most pleased to accept it, well, if it had any form of analgesic in it that is. cheers vent. Back on topic did anyone mention fontanelle evaluation, lets not this educational topic get further off base. A sunken fontanelle can be a sign of serious dehydration in a child known to be ill with fever, vomitng and diarrhea - gastroenteritis. Sunken eyes, dry mouth, and decreased or absent tears would likewise be noticible.
-
Oh don't jump and down just yet, things in the past were far better and saying public delivery of care is a FAIL, WRONG elections are coming and the topic of health care is the priority on everyones mind your going to see a few changes because some in present power are going to see their house of cards fold and for there very poor choices just may be applying for new positions ... like trash collectors that they are. Ok Just compare in the US a Bipass surgery about 150 G ? in Canada about 30 G ? (correct me if I am wrong with gross numbers) and thats no HMO deciding "what the fine print is on your policy" But with Cutbacks because of Government mismanagement the waiting lists are longer, knees, hips and angios ... this is not the fault of the system its the fault of voters allowing this to occur. Just yesterday in Canadian Edmonton AB news, a worker denied Workman's Compensation brought this wee topic to the public attention. http://www.google.ca/search?rlz=1C1CHMA_enCA347CA347&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8&q=WCB+hostage+taking+CBC Best look at the comments by the general voting public not the interviewers personal trauma pfft .... by the way no one was injured and just me but I highly doubt that anyone one would have been. cheers Cant change things without taking a stand ? BCAS medics need us all right now to support them, Do you believe that they do not want to provide ALS services Province wide .... NOT listen to rock_shoes, Ambulance AL, or any other BC guys there chomping at the bit to be allowed to provide ALS care but the Campbell government not only controls the Ambulance, but the Licencing AND the Educational system too And ps I would love to work/ live in Golden, Tofino, or Happiville ie the Charlotte's. http://www.saveourparamedics.com/

In the USA perhaps. I left NICU years ago, the biggest reason was because of experimentation on 800 grams ... I will never look back BUT this kid was born @ 28 weeks, discharged and then returned @ 34 weeks with a pneumonia, perhaps aspiration only although R sided is more likely. My post was intended to support a friend, who is living and working in environments that most N.A. would and can not even comprehend, applying European or NA standards is not only folly but I feel disrespectful. No why would I threaten you, but perhaps you missed another thread that evening, I was very upset that I was personally mistreated for pain 11/10, and my post was seriously and personally affected by a local MD who was grossly negligent in my care. Have you never wanted to choke out an MD for being an idiot ? I have. Well there is one clinic in Honduras and part of my kit is in the back of their half ton because there only ambulance rolled and killed the only EMT-Bs (that needs a new carburetor btw) just in passing, we tryed to donate a used Ambulance but the Mexicans officials stopped it at the border, its sitting for a year now in Brownsville TX . Perhaps re look at the tenor, sometimes this can be misunderstood, I did and now this is my personal apology. Now why would I threaten you but I do have a new spell check (today) and I apologize for the f bomb, the old website would have corrected that, it was intended to amplify the point, maybe the aspirin was sub therapeutic too. and good points, good education as always. No suprize at all to me, and or the Mother could have been in serious need of personal nutrition herself, (she resorted to the government hospital and that speaks volumes in itself) I would bet my bottom dollar she was breast feeding only, poor quality water and the assumption made was that the mother could even afford food let alone care for a sick infant, the mortality rate is extremely high in the continent of Africa. http://www.stampoutpoverty.org/ Anyone care to support ? In Closing the Grossly Negligent MD that "did not treat me" 3 days ago was an imported SA trained MD and "I don't give a crap type MD" .... maybe just my pain talking, again sorry Vent I do not want to lose you as my friend. cheers
-
Nope, not in Golden either the closest ALS to Golden would be either Kelowna or Prince George and by Air ... and the airstrip is between 2 valleys and kinda snug. Type: Airport (Airfield) Latitude: 51°17'57"N (51.299167) Longitude: 116°58'56"W (-116.982222) Datum: WGS 1984 Elevation: 2575 ft (785 m) Runways: 1 Longest: 4500 × 75 ft (1372 × 23 m) Typically the designated Citation 2 (based in PG) generally speaking not even consider a strip under 5 G ... the best bet is a KA 200 out of AB YYC. take a look on a goggle world map. In Revelstoke the EMS team BLS is or was housed in a Hotel last time I was there .
