If you have a station, pump on downtime there... if you can't leave the ambulance, talk to your partner and just go in the back to pump between calls. I've known a lot of moms who have pumped at work... shouldn't really be a big deal and if they make a big deal of it sue them

What's making you think it's tardive dyskinesia? Any history of reglan in their meds? Any fever present? I'm not sure it's TD because usually they have mouth/tongue movement and the eyes rolled back in the head doesn't seem consistent with TD...

Funny enough... one of the first things we learned skill wise in nursing foundations was oral care and brushing eachothers teeth!

I was just in Dallas last weekend and thought about him a lot and how open and generous he was. We shared some similar tastes in music and even knew a few of the same local Austin artists... he passion for education and furthering EMS impacted all of us in one way or another and I miss him still.

Any recent falls? I'm thinking with the kyphosis the lower ribs could be causing an increase in the thoracic pressure, therefore more pressure placed on heart because the lungs can't fully deflate, decreasing cardiac output and causeing the low BP and S/S? I'm probably way off on this though and just taking a shot in the dark!

Did you do a 12 lead? Any improvement with position change? and palpable masses in the abdomen? Very odd indeed...

From my friends that responded they said it was as any other MCI would be expected. This is just too unreal.

I too am curious as to where you're planning on getting your BSN. You stated that you would be taking the pre-med requirements when your course loads were low and over the summer semesters, but then stated that they are a requirement. I am not aware of BSN curriculums that require physics and organic chemistry.

They don't look much different than the scars I have from the tape keeping post-op bandages on... Yeah they don't look great, but I'm not sure this is abuse? I have had my skin ripped off like that before and have scars for it that look similar to his "months later" photo.

I think doctors should be allowed to use their own judgement for the most part on this. Just as "greedy offspring" with a power of attorney can not just come in and stop live saving efforts or end life sustaining medical care if the physicians believe there is no reason to. A POA does have the right to make medical decisions but if the medical staff believe the patient is not brain dead or has a good chance of survival, I believe they can fight for their patients rights. Correct me if I am wrong though.

I strongly believe that passive or active euthanasia should be up to the individual. Wendy...you support passive euthenasia, removal of life sustaining equipment and treatments, but not active? I 100% believe and support your opinion but I disagree and fail to understand your stance. I don't see how one could oppose letting someone take control of their own life. If someone of sound mind and judgement requests euthenasia twice at least two weeks apart...or some other set standard, then why not? I believe every individual is free to determine their lives and taking away the option to choose how they die infringes on their rights as an autonomous individual.
