Ok. While going through the fire academy for AEMT I was accused of cheating on my final (I didn't) so I had a hearing and they said they think I did and i was expelled from the course and there for could not get my license or test for registry. They then said I would have to find somewhere else to get licensed. I then enrolled at a local college and got licensed there with no incident. I have since worked as an AEMT for almost 2 yrs with zero issue and I've had 3 jobs in the field. Yestersay I get a letter from a state investigator saying he is looking into allegations filed against me that could affect my ability to practice in the state. I call and he tells me I am being investigated for me supposedly cheating during my first attempt at getting licensed 2 yrs ago. Mind you after this i went to a completely different school and got licensed and i've been working for nearly 2 years since then. If i loose my license would i be able to get licensed again? Would I need to go to another state? I was about to try and start college for nurseing and eventually head to doctor. Will this stop me from going into the medical field all together, as well? it's weird that after this drama happedned i was able to get my license and practice this long for this to happen now all of a sudden. And right after i got hired at a hospital.

Hi all, I'm a California licensed (and NREMT of course) EMT-B with current CPR, work experienced in the EMS field and first responder team guy who's about to embark on a vacation to northern Alabama - Jackson County - and meet up with friends made online. While I am there I would like to get together with EMS professionals and maybe connect, have some chat about work there, possibilities, licensing and their pre-requiste, ambulance driver's tests, phlebotomy etc.whatever comes to mind. Because who knows, maybe I like it that much that I can imagine to relocate and so get a good idea what's going on in my job field of dreams and what to expect re finding employment. My boyfriend is looking into becoming an EMT - his driver's license is suspended until August 2012 (because of underage drinking, two years ago - nothing to do with actually driving). Should he expect any issues in becoming certified because of this? He is also curious to know if the fact that his driver's license has been suspended will affect his ability to find a job in this field (in any of the 50 states) once he is certified. Any info on this subject would be very helpful; thanks in advance!
