How many of you get paid double time after 40 hours?

One of my instructors has told me that in Cali, we can expect to only get time and a half after 40 hours. So if you work two 24's (48 hours) you will only get paid 8 hours of time and a half.

Is this true for most of ya?

Yep. It is usually included in your quoted salary, if they say $3200/month that includes the OT.

Time and a half after 40 per week at one job. Time and a half after 106 hours per two weeks at other job, there are different labor laws for EMS.

When I was working in California, it was like that [after 40 hours you get time and a half] for the 24 hour units. The 12's were paid straight time for the first 8 hours, time and a half for work between 8 and 12 hours, and double time there after.

We get paid time and a half for anything over 40, double time anything over 80
